Product Description
The inspiration for the brand was the "Official Swiss Railways Clock". Created in 1944 by Hans Hilfiker, the clock quickly became a standout feature of all railway stations and eventually became a Swiss national icon. In 1986, Mondaine, founded by Erwin Bernheim, created its first timepiece with an official license from the Federal Swiss Railways. Since then, Mondaine has strived to preserve the classic, timeless look of the original design, while still aiming to implement new contemporary technologies and innovative features to each new collection. From implementing new backlight technology to contactless payments and smartwatches, the brand has ensured each and every watch is quintessentially Mondaine.
Through the Essence collection, Mondaine is making strides towards sustainability. The brand uses raw, renewable materials such as cork and wool. The Essence line can be seen as the success of the brand's quest to reimagine the timepiece in an eco-friendly way without compromising on those defining Mondaine features.

- This model exhibits a white dial with a date aperture at 3 o'clock..
- The dial also features black rectangular baton indices, black rectangular hour and minute hands, and a red second hand shaped to resemble a train dispatcher's baton.
- A black castor oil compound case frames the dial. The case measures 41mm in diameter.
- The watch is finished with a black nylon textile strap with a natural cork lining. The strap fastens with a pin buckle.
- This model is splash-resistant and should not be submerged in water.

Delivery & Returns
We aim for you to be absolutely delighted with your purchase and therefore offer you 30 days to change your mind on your purchase. You may do this by using the form provided with your order or otherwise. We will provide a refund of all payment received (not including delivery upgrades), usually within 2 working days of receiving your return (it may take a little longer during busy periods or for more complex returns). This will be made to the original payment method. For most payment methods it will take 3-5 working days for this to show on your statement.
Please ensure items from your order are suitable before wearing as we are unable to accept items which have been worn under our returns policy.
Returns are free on all UK orders. For orders under £500, you may generate a free tracked and insured returns label on the Royal Mail website (opens in a new window). You can print this label and send it back at any local Post Office at no cost to yourself. It is also possible to have the label printed at Post Office using the QR code from the confirmation email. Please retain the proof of postage receipt. Unfortunately we are unable to refund return postage for orders under £500 sent back by other methods, so we recommend printing the free postage label provided. For orders from £500 to £2,500, the Royal Mail label does not cover the value of the item, so please send it back by Royal Mail Special Delivery, insured for its full value, and we will reimburse the postage separately (please keep your proof of postage — full details are on your receipt), or contact us and we can arrange a collection. For orders over £2,500, please contact us and we will arrange the return for you. For international returns, you will need to bear the cost of returns postage. Please ensure the watch is returned to us in an unworn, new condition with all the original packaging (manufacturer's manual and guarantee if applicable). Please ensure items from your order are suitable before wearing as we are unable to accept items which have been worn under our returns policy. We reserve the right to make deductions for unnecessary damage caused to the product by yourself.
For UK orders we are also able to offer an exchange to a different product if required, please specify this when returning your product. For international orders, please return the item for a refund and place a new order for the product you would like.
If a fault develops with a watch that is outside of the 30 day returns period or is no longer in a new condition the watch can be returned to the manufacturer under the terms of the guarantee (we are an official UK dealer for all brands on our website) so that they can rectify any issues.
