Seiko Astron: the world’s first GPS solar watch – powered by light, automatically adjusted to your time zone through the latest GPS technology.
This Astron Solar GPS watch features the 5X calibre with advanced functionality.
To enhance the speed and quality of the GPS connection, every component in the GPS module has been re-engineered, the operation of the 5X calibre is faster and more intuitive than ever.
For example, in just three seconds the time can advance 14 hours from Tokyo to New York time, thanks to the system that moves the hour, minute, and second hand independently.
New functions also allow automatic adjustment to Daylight Saving Time and give the wearer the ability to switch the main dial instantly from home to local time and vice versa.

- The watch has a super hard-coated titanium case and bracelet. The case measures 42.7 mm in diameter.
- A three-fold clasp with push-button release secures the bracelet.
- A sapphire crystal with a super-clear coating encases the dial.
- The blue dial is contrasted by luminescent indices.
- Features on the watch include a day display and a dual-time function, automatic hand alignment, daylight saving time, overcharge prevention as well as a power reserve indicator and a power save function. The watch also has a perpetual calendar, a world time function with 39 time zones and a transfer function that switches between the main and sub-dials. It also features a GPS signal reception function, a function to prevent the reception of GPS and a signal reception indicator alongside a satellite acquisition status display.
- The watch is water-resistant to 10 bars or 100 meters.
- Movement type - GPS Solar with a power reserve of up to 6 months while in use and up to 2 years when in power save mode. The watch is accurate to ±15 seconds per month (without receiving a GPS signal and at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C ).

Returns PolicyWe aim for you to be absolutely delighted with your purchase and therefore offer you 30 days to change your mind on your purchase (excludes pre-owned watches). You may do this by using the form provided with your order or otherwise. We will provide a refund of all payment received (not including delivery upgrades), usually within 48 hours of receipt of the product. This will be made to the original payment method. For most payment methods it will take 3-5 working days for this to show on your statement.
Please ensure items from your order are suitable before wearing as we are unable to accept items which have been worn under our returns policy.For UK orders under £500, you may generate a free tracked and insured returns label on the Royal Mail website (opens in a new window). You can print this label and send it back at any local Post Office at no cost to yourself. It is also possible to have the label printed at Post Office using the QR code from the confirmation email. Please retain the proof of postage receipt. Unfortunately we are unable to provide a refund of return postage for returns through other methods, so we recommend printing the free postage label provided. For orders over £500, please consult your receipt for details on how to return. For international returns, you will need to bear the cost of returns postage. Please ensure the watch is returned to us in an unworn, new condition with all the original packaging (manufacturer's manual and guarantee if applicable). Please ensure items from your order are suitable before wearing as we are unable to accept items which have been worn under our returns policy. We reserve the right to make deductions for unnecessary damage caused to the product by yourself.
We are also able to offer an exchange to a different product if required, please specify this when returning your product.
If a fault develops with a watch that is outside of the 30 day returns period or is no longer in a new condition the watch can be returned to the manufacturer under the terms of the guarantee (we are an official UK dealer for all brands on our website) so that they can rectify any issues. This admittedly complicated watch is surprisingly easy to use, thanks to some well-judged design choices by Seiko. Despite the enormous length of the full instructions, I find that one only needs to remember five operations for full functionality, both when travelling and when staying at home and trying to keep track of the time for friends or colleagues abroad. It is useful that the state of charge of the battery is displayed at all times. The small AM/PM dial is tied to the secondary sub-dial, and the red arc gives an indication of whether it is day or night in the second time zone. The automatic adjustment to daylight saving time in summer is also helpful. The watch normally receives a GPS signal once or twice a day and keeps good time when worn on the wrist, though its time-keeping when stored at room temperature and unable to receive a GPS signal is surprisingly poor, gaining about half a second per day. Style is a matter of taste, but I think this is the best looking watch for several years in the Astron range. I am very pleased with it.
