Frederique Constant Watches

Authorised retailer for Frederique Constant Watches. Frederique Constant watches have been loved and respected worldwide since they were introduced in 1988. Through their watches, Frederique Constant aims to make horological elitism a thing of the past. The brand believes in making luxury accessible to all people while maintaining its high-end appeal and high standards.

A Brief History of Frederique Constant

Frederique Constant was founded in 1988 by Dutch married couple Aletta Francoise Frederique Stas-Bax and Peter Constant Stas. The name of the company is derived from the great-grandparents of each founder - Frederique Schreiner and Constant Stas who incidentally, founded a company which produced dials in 1904. Equipped with Swiss movements and assembled by a Geneva watchmaker, Aletta and Peter Stas designed their watch collection - the 18th Century Collection - in 1992. 2 years later, the brand launched its first Heart Beat timepiece with an aperture on the dial at 12 o’clock to show the heart of its mechanical movement; this later went on to become Frederique Constant’s signature model. Once Aletta and Peter Stas moved to Geneva, Switzerland in 1997 the brand saw even more success. Throughout the next decade, various collections were released; the vintage rally and the runabout to name but a few. In 2016, Frederique Constant was acquired by Citizen Watch Co. Limited and its brand portfolio was strengthened. 2023 saw Frederique Constant celebrate their 35th anniversary. As well as this, it was the brand’s first appearance at the most prestigious international fine watchmaking show - Watches and Wonders. Even in the present day, Frederique Constant aims to make luxury accessible to all people.

Frederique Constant Style

Frederique Constant is famous for its high-quality classic watches at sensible prices. Skilled watchmakers craft each timepiece, so the watches are stunning and highly accurate. Ranging from sleek and simple to bold and beautiful, there is a Frederique Constant model for all!

Frederique Constant Achievements

Regularly bringing new technologies to the market, Frederique Constant watches have always been innovative. In the late 1990s, the brand became known for its Heart Rate Manufacture and in 2005 it won ‘Watch of the Year’ in the Horologes Magazine. The brand also created a Tourbillon with a silicon escape wheel in 2007; it was widely praised by industry insiders. Most excitingly, Frederique Constant teamed with Alpina brands and introduced the Horological Smartwatch in 2015 - a smartwatch product with motion and sleep- tracking functions that uses a secondary analogue dial rather than a screen for its display.
