The G-Shock Ebisu Limited Edition

G-Shock Ebisu Limited Edition

The Seven Lucky God’s G-Shock Ebisu Limited Edition

The first of the G-Shock Seven Lucky Gods Series, the G-Shock Ebisu model is based on the G-7900 watch, which is a high-performance digital model intended for use in a full range of harsh environmental conditions. In addition to this pieces base red colour, a sea bream is depicted in gold on the watch strap holder, symbolizing a bountiful catch! When the EL backlight is activated, a “G”, the first letter of “G-Shock”, will promptly appear in the display. Completing the full set of the Seven Lucky Gods G-SHOCK will allow you to create all of the letters and the hyphen in “G-Shock”, a nice touch for those dedicated to collecting!

Ebisu is called the only Japanese God in the Seven Lucky Gods. There are two views on why this is the case, one comes from history, where he was ‘’Hiruko-no-mikoto’’ who is a child of Izanami and Izanagi, and the other theory is that this is from ‘’Kotoshironushi-no-Kami’’. From his style with a sea bream in his left hand a fishing rod in his right hand, he is largely known as the God of a large catch and a good business.

Casio‘s G-Shock sub-brand has constantly been pushing the limits and boundaries of timekeeping toughness since 1983. They are now pleased to announce the first in their new SHICHI-FUKU-JIN (Seven Lucky Gods) Series, the Ebisu Limited Edition!

The use of gold and red creates a truly auspicious color combination for their model, perfectly tying the watch to it’s inspiration, with a splash of Toshikazu Nozaka‘s own style too! Large buttons on the side of the case allow for easy operation whatever the conditions, whilst a large digital screen enhances the readability of the display’s information. As per the G-Shock ideology, this model has been made for the extremes, created to withstand temperatures of up to -20°C! The attention to detail, design wise, is fantastic, even the case back has a protective cover that protects against potential impacts, with slits allowing for ventilation for a comfortable fit!
