The New 1972 Chronoscope Sports Edition 2024 Watches

The Dial and Strap

The new 1972 Chronoscope models head to the starting line with three dial variations: bright red (41/4466.00), silver-grey (41/4468.00), and dark green (41/4467.00). Each model exhibits a vertical double stripe down its centre, two black sub-dials and the number 6 in the form of a racing number. On the red and grey versions, the stripe is white and the sub-dial hands are yellow. Whereas on the green version, both the stripe and the sub-dial hands are olive brown. Junghans’ historical logo sits proudly under the 12 o’clock position. It makes for an interest contrast to each watch’s dynamic design. To ensure optimal readability, all models feature hands and indices that have been coated with an ecofriendly white luminous substance. This addition provides a nice contrast, especially on the darker dials. Moreover, an anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial of each watch.

In accordance with the theme, each watch is finished with a colour-coordinated leather strap. Created in the style of traditional driving gloves, they exhibit circular cut-outs and wither grey or white stitching. Furthermore, all the straps fasten with a quick-release stainless steel pin buckle.

The Case and Movement

A black unidirectional lockable bezel and a 43.3mm stainless steel case surround the dial of each watch. On the posterior, the screwed stainless steel case back features an edition engraving as well as the historical Junghans logo. And thanks to the crown, each watch in this collection has up to 100 metres of water resistance; making them perfect for daily wear.

The 1972 Chronoscope Sports Edition 2024 watches are powered by a quartz calibre J645.83 with date indication and second time zone in 24-hours. However, the most notable offering is a chronograph which is able to measure lengths of time as short as one-fifth of a second; it provides both exceptional precision and reliability.
