Citizen Eco Drive once again team up with Good360 in GET A LIGHT, GIVE A LIGHT initiative.
The world renowned watch makers, famous for their Citizen Eco Drive technology which revolutionized the watch industry, have teamed up with Good360 for the second year running in order to send Luci EMRG solar-powered lights to Puerto Rico, an area that is still being heavily effected by 2017’s hurricanes, Irma and Maria.
Along with providing these solar-powered lights, Citizen have also teamed up with New York based photographer, Hannah Sider, in order to document and show the world the types of conditions that these people are having to live in, and the struggles that they have to go through on a daily basis in order to rebuild their communities and their homes.
Hannah has worked with some of the biggest names in both fashion and music but growing up between Toronto and Malawi she always knew that she was going to pursue her growing passion for documenting life. Known for shooting for huge global brands such as Nike and Gap, and also recording artists such as Asap Rocky or Wiz Khalifa, she has always had a passion for connecting with her subjects and recording the whole experience on 35mm.
Citizen Eco Drive technology generates power from light. Whether its natural or artificial, it keeps your watch going. Inspired by this technology, Citizen hope that the power of light will shine through their partnership with Good360, benefiting as many as possible;
“Inspired by Eco-Drive, we hope to emphasize the power of light both literally and figuratively through our partnership with Good360.” – Citizen Ambassador
The lights used, the Luci EMRG solar powered light, shares the same characteristic as CitizenEco-Drive watches. Using a natural resource, in the sun, to create power, generating light in this instance. Where light is needed, Citizen aim to provide that same power to those who are suffering from these natural disasters.
Good360’s overall mission statement is to transform lives by providing hope, dignity, and a sense of renewed possibility to individuals, families, and communities that have been impacted by disasters or other possible life challenging circumstances who, without their help, would struggle to find that hope. As the global leader in product philanthropy and purposeful giving, Good360 partner with socially responsible companies, such as Citizen, to source highly needed goods and distribute them through their network of diverse nonprofits that support people in need. Good360 is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. Learn more at https://www.good360.org.
