Vegan Friendly Watches

vegan

2017 was the year for veganism, it was the year when big brands started taking the vegan diet into consideration as well as the year than many people transitioned to the diet. Celebrities such as Ariana Grande, Moby and Joaquin Phoenix are long time vegans who are influencers to the movement with Moby opening a vegan restaurant and Joaquin Phoenix narrating the iconic vegan documentary Earthlings.

Not only have the bigger brands taken the vegan lifestyle into account, watch brands have also started following suit as commonly, watch straps are made from leather. We have previously featured a blog on veganism however this time we will point you in the direction of brands rather than individual timepieces. If you are a longtime vegan or have only just begun your journey into the lifestyle, here are some vegan friendly watch brands so you can find your cruelty free timepiece.

Vegan Brands

Olivia Burton

Not all of Olivia Burton watches are vegan friendly, however, the brand have a range of vegan watches which is growing and evolving featuring a synthetic leather strap. They have a variety of different styles to choose from such as florals, vintage inspired and classic styled watches. Olivia Burton started creating watches in 2011, filling the gap in the market of feminine female timepieces. Since then they have evolved into a global brand who were eventually bought by Movado Group for £60million.

Votch

Votch are relatively new to the watch market with the brand launching just last year. The foundations of this watch brand are sourced in the welfare of animals with their watches being 100% cruelty free. Votch understands that one of the biggest struggles of veganism is finding a brand which is both vegan and cruelty free which is how they came to build their brand ethos.

Hurtig Lane

Hurtig Lane

Hurtig Lane is a brand with main goals, Quality and Vegan Friendly. They are based in Barcelona and create looks which are up to date but also that inspire. Their aspirations are routed in their love and devotion to animals, they state on their website:
