The Junghans Meister Worldtimer

At the beginning of November 2020, the Junghans Meister Worldtimer was released. As always, the world-famous brand has ensured exceptional attention to detail has been paid to the design and functions of their newest model. Taking into account the fast-paced ever-changing contemporary world, Junghans has created a watch that will truly suit the needs of the modern-day wearer. The intuitive design and heightened functionality of the Junghans Meister Worldtimer watch make it indispensable for any avid traveller or businessman.

We have entered an era of accelerated globalization. Technology is developing at a faster rate than ever. Each new day brings new advancements. All of these changes have allowed many to travel, live and work abroad. With the help of digitalization, most businesses have expanded to other countries and even continents. We are able to network with people from all over the world. More often than not, whether it’s international business partners or close family, you will know someone living in a different timezone to you. Junghans understand that most importantly staying connected means bridging the time gap between people.

Design and Functions

The Junghans Meister Worldtimer’s design presents a contemporary twist on a classic design. The watch features a radial aperture on the dial. A grey hour disk displays the time in 24 different locations simultaneously allowing you to keep track of loved ones and business wherever you are in the world. Each hour aperture is represented by a city in the respective time zone. As a helpful guide, the numbered hours between 7 pm and 6 am in the apertures are in black.

The harmony of the design is maintained through the characteristic of Junghans minimalist dial. A set of dauphine hands highlight the elegant simplicity of the dial. An added feature is the transparent case back, allowing you a glimpse into the intricate inner workings of the timepiece. Powering the watch is an automatic movement with calibre J820.5. Its power reserve lasts for up to 42 hours and features water resistance up to 50 metres or 5 bars. An anti-reflective convex sapphire crystal protects the dial. The case of the Meister Worldtimer measures 40.4 mm in diameter and 10.5 mm in thickness.
