Introducing Bremont: British Watchmaking, Built for Adventure

Watches with 43mm Cases – Bremont Watch Company

There are plenty of watch brands with an interesting story. But Bremont is a little different.

We’re excited to introduce Bremont to First Class Watches, bringing the British brand’s distinctive collection of mechanical watches to our range.

Founded in 2002 by brothers Nick and Giles English, Bremont was born from a shared love of aviation, engineering and mechanical watches. From the beginning, the idea was simple. Create watches that look great, but can also handle demanding conditions.

That philosophy still runs through the brand today.

The Story Behind Bremont

Bremont Watch Company

Nick and Giles grew up around aviation and engineering. Their father, Euan, was an RAF pilot and aeronautical engineer, which naturally influenced the brothers.

Their passion for flying eventually led them into the world of watchmaking.

The name Bremont also has an unusual story behind it.

While flying a vintage aircraft across France, the brothers were forced to make an emergency landing. They were helped by a local farmer named Antoine Bremont.

The experience stayed with them. Years later, they chose his name for their new watch brand.

It’s a small part of the story, but it says a lot about Bremont. Adventure has always been part of the brand.

Made in Britain

The Wing

Bremont has always wanted to play a bigger role in British watchmaking.

That ambition became a reality with The Wing, the brand’s manufacturing and technology centre in Henley-on-Thames.

Opened in 2021, The Wing brings much of Bremont’s watchmaking process together under one roof. From machining and finishing to assembly and testing, the facility gives Bremont greater control over how its watches are made.

It’s a major part of the brand’s identity.

Bremont isn’t just inspired by British engineering. It is actively investing in British manufacturing and watchmaking skills.

Inspired by Aviation

Aviation and Military – Bremont Watch Company

Aviation is still at the heart of Bremont.

Both founders are pilots, and that influence can be seen throughout the collection. The watches are designed around the needs of people who rely on their equipment.

Clear displays. Robust cases. Reliable movements.

Bremont has also worked with military units and aviation organisations around the world. Its partnership with Martin-Baker, for example, has led to watches being put through some seriously demanding testing.

The aim is simple: create watches that can handle more than everyday life.

Tested Beyond Endurance

Bremont uses the phrase “Tested Beyond Endurance” to describe its approach to durability.

It’s a fitting description.

The brand puts its watches through demanding tests designed to replicate the conditions they may face in the real world.

Temperature changes, vibration and extreme forces are just some of the challenges involved.

This focus on durability has become one of Bremont’s defining characteristics.

But there’s much more to the watches than toughness.

Mechanical at Heart

Bremont is focused on mechanical watchmaking.

The brand’s latest generation of watches takes this even further, with its ENG300 series of movements developed as part of Bremont’s move towards greater in-house manufacturing.

The movements are produced at The Wing and tested to Bremont’s own H1 Timing Standard.

It’s another example of the brand bringing modern technology together with traditional mechanical watchmaking.

More Than Pilot’s Watches

Aviation might have started the story, but Bremont has grown well beyond pilot’s watches.

The collection now includes watches for diving, adventure, everyday wear and more formal occasions.

The Supernova, for example, takes Bremont in a more contemporary direction with its integrated bracelet design.

The Fury offers a modern take on the pilot’s watch, while the Audley brings a more refined and understated feel to the collection.

There’s plenty of variety, but the Bremont identity remains clear throughout.

Now at First Class Watches

We’re delighted to welcome Bremont to First Class Watches.

It’s a brand that feels genuinely different. There’s the British connection, the aviation heritage and the focus on mechanical watchmaking. But there’s also a real emphasis on modern engineering and innovation.

Most importantly, these are watches made to be worn and enjoyed.

They’re designed for adventure, built with purpose and backed by a fascinating story.

Whether you’re looking for a robust everyday watch, a modern pilot’s watch or something a little more refined, Bremont is a brand worth getting to know.

Discover Bremont at First Class Watches and explore the collection.
