Lacoste 12:12 Watch Collection

Picking out the perfect watch can seem like a daunting task, especially since there are now so many different watch brands and styles to choose from. If you are looking for your first watch or would like more information on the Lacoste 12:12 watch then here is a full review of the collection.

About Lacoste

Lacoste is not only a watch brand but first and foremost a clothing brand that began almost 100 years ago in the 20s with the man himself, Rene Lacoste. He was not only the founder of this popular fashion brand but also a successful tennis player. This brand is not only recognised as a fashion brand but is also well known for its crocodile logo which was formed in 1927 with inspiration from a crocodile suitcase.

Today the brand has become famous for its polo shirts that feature the iconic crocodile logo, however, it became a huge trend back in the 1950s when Lacoste released its first collection of polo shirts. The origins of this brand are rooted in the sports industry which means that it has had many features among sports events including tennis, skiing, polo and more. As a result of this, the sporty and elegant vision of the brand was released internationally in the 60s.

Since then this brand has evolved further, not only designing and crafting clothes but also accessories such as sunglasses, shoes, fragrances, watches and more. If you have been a fan of this brand for a while and are also looking for a watch from the brand then the Lacoste 12:12 collection is a brilliant place to start.

Lacoste 12:12 Collection

This collection was inspired by the founder of the brand, Rene Lacoste. Back in 1927 when Rene Lacoste designed his first polo shirt it was given the product code ‘L.12.12’. The ‘L’ part of the code signifies the brand name, Lacoste. The number 1 that comes after symbolises the “petit Pique” material that was used with the first polo the brand made. The 2 represents the short sleeves and the last 12 is the number of prototypes made before the final product.

There are 27 different watches included within the collection which vary in colour. With so much colour choice within the collection, it can be suited to a number of different styles and preferences. The overall design is simplistic with simple markers, the Lacoste crocodile at the 3 o’clock position on the dial and no added complications. The material of the watch is soft to touch and comfortable to wear on a daily basis.
