Casio Men’s Training Timer Series

February has been a big month for Casio and especially Casio Edifice and Casio G-shock ranges as there is a lot of new models coming out in the big lead up to Baselworld 2018. The latest release from Casio G-SHOCK is their Training Timer series which comprises of six new all men’s sporty timepieces with advanced Bluetooth connectivity for tracking your fitness regime and training. They have been meticulously designed with thought going into every part of the watches production from shape, amount of notches in the strap and colour these watches are perfect for any casual or athletic wear you see at the gym or in the street.

The new GBA800 timepieces are available in a mid-size case to keep it small and compact but leaving enough room to make it readable and be packed with functions. All the watches in this collection have a 3 axis acceleration sensor to allow the wearer to keep track of their step count each day to try and reach that daily target for everyone of 10,000 steps a day. Other features of the watch include a countdown timer which has the functionality to allow up to 20 timer combinations with up to 5 timers each, and 200 lap memory.  Users can download the G-Shock Connected App to most smart phones to allow them to further track, plan and measure their workouts and adventures.

Casio have even managed to develop a new algorithm which has enabled them to offer something no other smartwatch is currently offering, the app can display a graph which breaks down your daily steps you’ve taken in each of the five metabolic equivalent levels (MET). This is from the data based on your total step count and the pace of your walk. Pretty impressive right? The app can also display the wearers exact location and the time that you burnt the most calories so that you can improve your other workouts or adapt them to match this to get the most out of your workouts.

Casio futher announced that the new GBA800 Training Timer models will be released in a total of six different colours all monotone, these will include; black, white, lime green, navy blue, teal and grey.

Teal (GBA800-3A)

Grey (GBA800-8A).

As mentioned before the new models have additional loopholes which allows for a tighter fit to your wrist or alternatively you can fix it to your workout gear, maybe if your going on a hike you could attach it to your bag or strap, maybe even the bars on a bike… the possibilities are endless.

Each of the new Casio models feature the G-Shock renowned 200m water resistance rating and the premium shock resistance offered by choosing to purchase a Casio as opposed to any other brand. In addition to the target alarms which were mentioned earlier the watch also allows you to set multiple daily alarms, it has a 1/100th second stopwatch for interval training, 1/10th countdown timer to time your rest periods and 12/24 hour formats to allow you to track your over all training time perfect for endurance or long distance training. All these features have been packed into a stunning 48.6 mm case. The watch also features a unique hand retract function which allows you to moves the analog hands to another position if they are in the way of the digital screen in any way,m the watch even has double Auto LED lights for easy viewing in low light workout conditions such as an evening jog or a late night workout at the local 24 hour gym.
