MeisterSinger’s Upgrades to the Neo Watch

The Case and Dial

The new generation of Neo watches come with three different colour dials; ivory (NES903-SB117), blue (NES908-SB115), and white (NES901G-SB114). While the colour pathways varies, the layout and features on the dials is the same across all three upgraded Neo’s. Adorning each dial is a mix of double-digit Arabic numerals and baton indices as well as a single needle-shaped hour hand. Each index in the outer circle stands for exactly five minutes, so the hand technically acts as both an hour and minute hand. Unlike previous Neo models, this relaunch of the vintage classic does not have a date at 6 o’clock. It has deliberately removed to showcase that less is often more.

Protecting the iconic core of each watch is a stainless steel case. Measuring 36mm in diameter, the case emphasises the typical design of the 1960s; tidy, minimalist and unmistakable. When it comes to the upgrades, many of them are to do with the Neo’s case. The previously used hard plexiglass has been replaced by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. As well as this, the water resistance has been increased from 30 metres (3 bar), to 50 metres (5 bar).

The Movement and Finishing Touches

Housed within each stainless steel case is a Swiss-made Sellita SW200 automatic movement. Specially modified for MesiterSinger’s single-hand watches, it quietly ticks inside the Neo. Additionally, the rotor provides each watch with a power reserve of 38 hours.

Each upgraded Neo is finished with a leather strap that perfectly complements the colour of the dials; the ivory dial has a pine green strap (NES903-SB117), the blue dial with a cream white strap (NES908-SB115), and the white dial with an ocean blue strap (NES901G-SB114). Providing great security, as well as comfort on the wrist, the straps fasten with a standard buckle clasp. These new upgrades raises the Neo to the quality level of all other MeisterSinger collection models!
