Star Wars is one of the most popular film franchises of all time. Despite originally being released (with special effects which seem very dated today) all the way back in 1977, it is just as popular with today’s youngsters as it was almost 40 years ago.

With numerous re-releases of the original series, new editions to the Star Wars collection and even a collaboration with Lego – many generations have been bitten by the star wars bug. And now there is another way for people to get in on the Star Wars action, provided you have enough money.

Devon, an American watch brand, are celebrating their 5th anniversary this year. But that may just be the second most exciting thing on Devon’s calendar in 2015. The first episode of the Star Wars sequel trilogy due to be released in December this year. And you can certainly assume that someone at Devon is a Star Wars fan, as Devon have released an incredible limited edition Star Wars watch.

The Devon Star Wars watch is a watch that you would imagine Darth Vader would certainly wear. In fact, you’d imagine that he’d be willing to sever as many wrists as he had to with his Lightsaber in order to get one!

The watch doesn’t just appear to be space aged either, it has materials sourced from an aerospace company in California and cutting edge technology inside the watch. It has an onboard microprocessor, a battery which recharges wirelessly and a scratch-resistant polycarbonate lens with “bulletproof durability”. Sure, it might not withstand a lightsaber assault, but unless you’re planning on joining Luke Skywalker’s Rebel Alliance – it should be durable enough for you!

The design of the watch is reminiscent of things you will have seen in Star Wars films. The watch strap is modelled after Darth Vader’s Sith gloves, which is incredibly cool. The rest of the design looks very similar to a TIE Fighter, with parts which resemble Darth Vader’s helmet and a face which looks like the Death Star’s control panel.

There’s no doubt that it is a Star Wars fanatic’s dream!

Of course, if you want one then you’ll need to get the money together fast! Only 500 are being made and they cost $28,500 each (approx £18,595)! In fact, it may be cheaper to have your own replica Star Destroyer made instead!
