The Second Wave of Swatch Art Journey 2024 Watches

Swatch x Tate – BARNS-GRAHAM’S ORANGE AND RED ON PINK – SUOZ362C

This model showcases the artwork ‘Orange and Red on Pink’ by British artist, Wilhelmina Barns-Graham. The rich colours and free-flowing brushwork of Barns-Graham’s work are displayed across the dial and strap. Complementing the 41mm light pink case and strap, the dial features light pink hour and minute hands; the second hand is white. Moreover, the striking black dot indices which feature on the glass protecting the dial accentuate the abstract painting perfectly. Barns-Graham’s artwork further continues onto the silicone strap. However, the bottom half of the strap sees the screen print on paper fade into a matte light pink; the strap’s underside is also in this colour. A plastic buckle clasp and transparent loop conclude the design of this timepiece. A watch which embraces the joy of colour, this model is ideal for those aesthete’s who prefer the abstract style.

Swatch x Tate – MATISSE’S SNAIL – SO28Z127C

This model showcases the artwork ‘The Snail’ by French visual artist, Henri Matisse. Unlike other watches in the Art Journey 2024 collection, this artwork is printed across the dial in its entirety. To contrast the vibrant colours used within ‘The Snail’, black hour and minute hands adorn the dial. The smallest from the second wave, a 34mm transparent matte blue biosourced case and glass surround the dial. Within this lies the quartz movement that powers the timepiece. Matisse’s unique artwork continues onto both the front and back of the shiny transparent strap. As well as this, his signature and the number 53 feature on the top half of the strap; near the case. If you have an interest in visual arts and are searching for a timepiece that reflects your style, this Art Journey model is the one for you!

Swatch x Tate – BOURGEOIS’S SPIRALS – SUOZ364C

This model showcases the artwork ‘Spirals’ from French-American artist, Louise Bourgeois. A symbol that appears frequently in Bourgeois’ work, the intricate spiral motif represents trust, freedom and a vibrant surge of positive energy. So its use throughout this watch is of great significance. As well as telling the time, the red hour and minute hands offer a playful contrast the blue and white spiral. Complementing Bourgeoises’ artwork perfectly, a 41mm transparent matte blue case surrounds the dial. This same blue is used for the plastic buckle that secures the spiral-patterned silicone strap. This Art Journey watch is also available in a SwatchPAY! (SVIZ105C-5300) version, so you can make secure contactless payment with ease; all from the convenient location of your wrist.
