Maurice Lacroix and Adeline Ziliox Limited Edition Watches

Maurice Lacroix and Adeline Ziliox Collaboration

Maurice Lacroix have collaborated with Adeline Ziliox to produce a pair of limited edition Eliros watches. Ziliox is a member of the Maurice Lacroix Crew and is famed for her Haute Couture creations. The French fashion designer was the perfect candidate for the task due to her experience in creating striking, eye-catching clothing. Her talents have translated seamlessly into the horological world to create two very different, but stylish and high-performing timepieces.

The Eliros Collection is one of Maurice Lacroix’s most popular ranges, so new releases in this style are often highly anticipated. Due to this, the brand often tests new and unusual designs and colour combinations within the Eliros style in order to expand their horizons. This made the Eliros a perfect palette for Adeline Ziliox to apply her Haute Couture designs to.

Ziliox is a proud vegetarian with a passion for animal rights and she wanted this to translate into the watches she designed. Maurice Lacroix is consistently working towards a greener future for the brand and therefore welcomed Ziliox’s philosophy and approach so that this collaboration could be fashionable, functional and green.

The Collection

Maurice Lacroix Watches

Maurice Lacroix and Adeline Ziliox collaborated to produce two watches. Both watches are powered by a quartz movement, ensuring that they are precise and reliable. They also both feature a date aperture at the 3 o’clock point on the dial for optimal timekeeping. The watches are water-resistant to 50m (5 bar). This means that they will be able to withstand the splashes and showers they may encounter with daily wear. Each of the watches is a limited edition, with only 500 of each design having been made. This limited-edition status is recognised by an engraving on the case backs that reads ‘designed by Adeline Ziliox’. This engraving acknowledges the rarity of each of the designs and also informs the wearer that they own a piece of Maurice Lacroix and fashion history.

The Watches

The first design from the collaboration exhibits an all-black colour scheme. The black dial features Arabic numerals to denote the even numbers, but the odd numbers are denoted by a series of pyramid like structures. These structures are often referred to as ‘Clous de Paris’. A ring of these structures frames the dial to give the watch a cohesive design. The black model is finished with a strap made of a material named Piñatex. This material is made from pineapple leaf fibres and is an excellent leather alternative. This is part of Maurice Lacroix and Ziliox’s approach to making the brand greener and more aware of animal rights.

The second design from the collaboration is an ultra-feminine powder pink timepiece that exhibits a silver and pink colour scheme. This model features lattice relief detailing in the centre of the dial that provides the watch with depth and character. This texture matches that of the pink strap. The strap of this model is made of synthetic leather, further expressing Adeline Ziliox’s passion for animal rights.
