Tissot T.Luthi MotoGP Limited Edition

Tissot– A brand with a long history in the world of sport, and MotoGP.

With the next installment in a fantastic range of collaborations being the Thomas Luthi Limited Edition T-Race. MotoGP and Tissot have worked together for a number of years now, with the Swiss watchmakers being the official time keeper for the sport since 2001. Tissot’s association with the prestigious world events in the technological world of motorcycling truly reflects the genuine nature of the company and all of its products, the technique behind its movements, and its desire, for ever pushing boundaries in all that they do. We have seen many Motorsport collaborations from Tissot, and not just form MotoGP, earlier this year we got to see the release of the new Alpine Limited Edition in partnership with the French car manufacturers.

MotoGP Collaboration

In 2003, Tissot produced the first of many Official MotoGP Watches, getting inspiration from the super bikes and so producing the Tissot T-Race in 2004. We have previously seen Limited edition watches such as the Marc Marquez (click here to read more about this partnership) and Jorge Lorenzo T-Race models, from the T-Sport collection, which were both hugely popular, and went down well in the world of motorsport.

Now, The Swiss brand are once again celebrating Swiss rider – Tom Luthi, with a 2018 piece collection complete with the signature helmet display box, and printed case back. The watch comes packaged inside this limited edition helmet display box which is only available with the MotoGP limited edition watches, and acts as the perfect display case for the piece. As with all Tissot watches it comes with an authenticity card, the 2 year warranty card, and instruction manual. You will also receive a product catalogue and the Tissot story book which is a great touch from the swiss brand. Motorsport references are displayed all across the watch, with the bezel being stylised as a brake disc with the indents all around, and the brake caliper covering the crown. The chronograph dials are in the same style as the dials on a motogp bike with blue accent running through the whole piece, and the push buttons resemble bike footrests, while the attachment of the bracelet to the case have suspension rods. The strap is made up of a rubber base, and synthetic perforated leather overlayed, with the blue accent stitching, matching the dial and hand colours.
