World renowned Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil has taken a trip over to Ireland in the last week to help a watch retailer and jewellers Weir & Sons in Dublin to promote the brands new watches that have been manufactured as a tribute to musical legends. The brand director for Raymond Weil Craig Leach went along to present three of Ireland’s biggest musical legends with one of the watches each which paid tribute to David, Bowie, The Beatles and Buddy Holly. He gave the awards to no other than Louis Walsh, Ian Dempsey and Dave Fanning.

The Beatles Abbey Road Raymond Weil Limited Edition Maestro Watch

Dave Fanning was gifted the Beatles Abbey Road Raymond Weil Limited Edition Maestro Watch at Weirs in Dublin by Craig Leach the brands Director, Mr Fanning is a musical legend himself and considered an authority on music. He is an Irish DJ, broadcaster and Irish Rock Journalist, and he attributes his love of music to being pretty much ‘fostered’ by the Beatles. He even has a book called “The Thing is” in which he outlines the five month wait he endured for the band’s Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band album however it was well worth the wait.

Louis Walsh was gifted the Buddy Holly Maestro Limited Edition Watch, the watch is a tribute to the 80th Anniversary of  ‘The Founder of Rock ‘N’ Roll’ Buddy Holly himself. Louis Walsh was considered a huge influence in the Rock ‘N’ Roll’ genre with roots in the guitar rifts of Buddy Holly songs. Louis Walsh can now be seen on shows such as Britains Got Talent along side other star judges Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne.

The David Bowie Freelancer Limited Edition Watch

Mr Dempsey is known for his TV presenter and radio career however many didn’t know that he has been a lifelong fan of David Bowie which he proved when he got a black star tattooed on his are as part of the ‘Dare To Care‘ campaign as a tribute to David Bowie whose last album was titled Black Star.
