Casio G-Shock Established In 1983

The first Casio G-SHOCK was born in 1983 and was the brainchild of Casio engineer Kikuo Ibe, he set out with an aim to create a timepiece that would still work even when dropped. His new timepiece shattered the reputation of a watch as a fragile piece of jewellery and fused function with design to create the uniqueness that is Casio. It all started back when he was given a watch by his father which he was extremely fond of. One day he sadly dropped the watch and it smashed into pieces. From that day he set out to create a watch that would not break even when dropped.
