Novelty Seastrong Diver 300 – A Diver’s Must-Have

We are well into the new year now and most brands are growing on last year releasing new models at Baselworld and now looking at further models to come out this year that will set the standard for the ongoing growth of the market. Alpina have announced an all-steel varient of their very iconic diver’s watch featuring all of the lifesaving characteristics that truly define a diving watch and set it apart from a standard timepiece. The Seastrong Diver 300 was designed with all the necessary features to allow divers who wear one to get the information they need, when they need it, for a safe dive.

The new edition of the Seastrong Diver 300 doesn’t forget its roots and keeps to the aesthetics that make this watch so recognisable. These design features include an oversized case, luminous indexes (which offer optimal visibility) and a uni-directional bezel (which protects the number of elapsed minutes) therefore preventing them from ever being accidentally knocked or bashed and therefore being decreased as under water during a dive timekeeping is essential and needs to be precise. I has been made to resist extreme conditions and to complete the essential requirements for experienced divers.

Past influencing the Present

This new release is inspired from the past as new Seastrong Diver 300 is a descendent of the Alpina watches of the 1960’s Seastrong “10” which back in its time was already capable of reaching depths of 200m/660ft which was a pretty incredible feat. Diving history has been a part of the Alpina DNA and its sea universe for more than 50 years making this new addition to the Seastrong Collection another notch in their continuous legacy of supreme divers watches.

Technical details

The new diver’s model is both fierce and precise. It has a whole list of features which seamlessly merge with its strong design and sustainable materials used, making it unmistakably an Alpina watch. The Seastrong Diver 300 has oversized a 44m case, which is available with either a dark grey or a navy blue 60 minute bezel. The watches black dial boldly contrasts with the large luminous indexes and hours, minutes and seconds hands making them easy to read in low light environments above and beneath the water. The date window is featured at 3 o’clock, and the see-through case back gives a intricate look at the level of precision that has gone into this watch. You can see the AL-525 automatic movement and the screw-in crown which offers an added level of security while diving to put your mind at ease.

The Seastrong Diver 300 is the ideal embodiment of a diver’s watch, offering three defining elements: optimal readability, resilient to extreme conditions, and lifesaving characteristics. This watch is definitely a must among every diver’s gear.
