Baselworld 2017 has been another fantastic exhibition of the best watches and jewellery on the market today. We have covered some of the most exciting announcements from Baselworld over the past week but there is never enough time to comment on everything that happens at the most important watch fair of the year.

Today we will give you full round up of the best watches from Baselworld 2017.

The Best Watches – The Seiko Prospex SLA017

The Best Watches Seiko

Seiko are one of the few manufacturers who produce top quality watches at all price points. At Baselworld 2017 Seiko introduced a recreated version of one of the best watches that the brand have ever released. The Seiko Prospex SLA017 is an updated version of the famed Seiko Ref 6217 – the grandfather of all Seiko’s divers.

The Seiko Ref 6217 was released in 1965 and helped to pave the way future divers like the first Professional Diver “Tuna” which was released in 1975. This reimagined version does a great job of channelling the original in terms of style but it does so much more. The Seiko Prospex SLA017 brings the watch completely up to date with a curved sapphire crystal which protects the dial. The entire watch is also covered in a “super hard coating” which ensures the whole watch is specially treated for scratch resistance. So the reimagined watch will stand the test of time in a way that the original could not do!

Only 2,000 Seiko Prospex SLA017’s are expected to be made, which means that if you want one – you need to make sure you act fast because they won’t be available for long!

The Best Watches – New Smartwatches!

Smartwatches have become increasingly important at Baselworld over the last few years. Some of the best watches on show at Baselworld 2017 have certainly been the smartwatches. We have shared the Samsung concept watches and Fossil’s new range of smartwatches – but there were more smartwatches to look out for at Baselworld this year.

Guess have finally brought to the table a fully featured smartwatch which runs on Android Wear 2.0. The new iteration of the Android Wear OS has certainly managed to capture the imagination of the watch manufacturers exhibiting at Baselworld 2017. The new Guess Connect smartwatch will feature an OLED screen and will come in a range of exciting designs.

The Best Watches – The Rolex Yacht-Master II 40 Everose

When people check out the news from Baselworld there are a few manufacturers that people always expect to see. Rolex are certainly one of the main manufacturers that everyone keeps an eye out for. This year, Rolex have brought to Baselworld one of the best watches of the entire exhibition.

The Rolex Yacht-Master II 40 Everose features a case made from Rolex’s proprietary 18K rose gold alloy called “Everose”. It is an incredibly eye catching watch with a crown of multi-coloured jewels around the rotating bezel. I cannot think of any watch lover who wouldn’t want this watch gracing their collection. Some estimates have placed the cost of the Rolex Yacht-Master II 40 Everose at the price of £30,000.
