Rado is now England Cricket’s ‘Official Timing Partner’

As of today, watch brand Rado is now England Cricket’s ‘Official Timing Partner’. The brand made the announcement this morning that it will be the recognised Official Timing Partner of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The ECB is a body that governs all cricket in England and Wales, from every to elite level. As the organisation’s first-ever Official Timing Partner, this groundbreaking collaboration is huge for Rado.

After football, cricket is the second-most watched sport. An estimated 24 million UK viewers tune in to watch the sport, with around 2.9 million attendees across all matches. The partnership is due to last multiple years and will see Rado’s name displayed across all international fixtures for both men’s and women’s leagues. On the cricket grounds, Rado will cover the tier 2 boards, trivision displays, and the ‘Out / Not Out’ review system. Externally, Rado will also participate in joint social media campaigns, the online countdown clock, and a content series to relive timeless cricket moments.

Be it for attentive decision-making or match regulation, time precision is integral to cricket. With Rado at its core, this collaboration is a testament to Rado’s mastery as a reliable watch brand. Moreover, it is a great opportunity for more visibility.

RADO Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton R32148162 / R32.148.16.2

Rado’s signature Captain Cook Collection will be central to this new campaign. However, its focal point will be the Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton model. Fitted with an antimagnetic Nivachron hairspring, the model boasts outstanding accuracy and exceeds standard test requirements. Powering the watch is the brand’s in-house R808 automatic calibre, which has 25 jewels and an impressive 80-hour power reserve. With a water resistance of up to 30 bars or 300 metres, the watch maintains its accuracy easily.

Rado is frequently championed as the ‘Master of Materials’, and the Captain Cook Skeleton continues this legacy. The watch’s matte plasma high-tech ceramic case features bronze-tone accents, including the crown and serrated bezel edge. Indices and hands on the model are also bronze-tone, as well as luminescent for added practicality. Under the sapphire crystal, these details look stunning against the watch’s skeleton dial and all-over grey colour scheme. Completing this design is a bracelet with ceramic outer links and polished plasma high-tech ceramic central links.

A representative from the brand says the team looks forward to an ‘exciting summer of cricket with Rado firmly at the heart of the action’.
