Seiko has announced the launch of an exciting collaboration with Honda. The new Seiko 5 Sport Honda Super Cub watches are two brand new limited edition timepieces that are inspired by the Super Cub. The Super Cub is a Honda motorcycle and is one of the world’s most-produced motorcycles in history. It was first introduced to the market in 1958 and has grown in popularity to become a firm fan favourite in the years since. The bike is hugely favoured by motorcyclists all over the world and the total production of the series has exceeded 100 million units by 2017. These exciting timepieces will massively appeal to both Super Cub and Seiko fans and their limited edition nature will ensure they are incredibly collectable.

The Seiko 5 Sport Honda Super Cub Watches

These two new special limited edition watches perfectly express the Super Cub motorcycles in every detail. The dial of each model exhibits a silhouette of the Super Cub as seen from the front. This ode to the motorcycle is enhanced by the unusual designs of some of the hour markers. These details have been adapted to create the appearance of headlights and indicators. Details of the bike are also included on the strap of each watch. Each strap is adorned with the Super Cub and Honda logos. Additionally, the case back of each watch features the Super Cub emblem and the unique limited edition serial number.

The Green Model SRPJ49K1

This model is limited to just 6000 units worldwide. It exhibits a cream dial with a green silhouette of the Super Cub at its centre. The dial is adorned with indices that are designed to reflect the design features of the bike. The hour and minute hands are silver and the second hand is orange. The most important features of the dial are treated with a luminous substance, ensuring that it can be read in the dark. A day and date display is also included on the dial.

A green bezel and a stainless steel case frame the dial. This case measures 42.5mm in diameter and 13.4mm in depth. It houses the automatic calibre 4R36 movement that powers the watch. This movement provides up to 41 hours of power reserve. This model is secured on the wrist using a green and cream nylon strap. The watch is water resistant up to 10 bar.

The Black Model SRPJ75K1

This model is limited to 5000 units worldwide, making it a very desirable choice for any fans of the Super Cub. The watch exhibits a black dial with a subtle silhouette of the front of the motorcycle in grey. The hour and minute hands are silver and the second hand is red. This bold colour provides a pleasant contrast that makes the hand easy to follow around the dial. The hands and hour markers are luminous. Additionally, a weekday and date display is featured at 3 o’clock.

The dial is surrounded by a black bezel and a black stainless steel case. This case measures 42.5mm in diameter, creating a comfortable and flattering look on the wrist. The watch is powered by an automatic movement and is water resistant up to 10 bar. The design of this model is completed with a black and grey nylon strap that will be comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
