The Panova Red By Muhle Glashutte

Mühle-Glashütte is a German manufacturer of timepieces and nautical instruments. Though the brand Mühle-Glashütte was founded in 1994 by Hans-Jürgen Mühle, the family’s ties within the watchmaking industry run deep. Borrowing the wisdom and experience of 5 generations of watchmakers, starting in 1869 when Robert Mühle began manufacturing precision measuring instruments, the company has created a balance between modern innovation and relying on tried and true methods. Its timepieces are practical with a sense of sophistication behind them. In order to introduce the Panova Red by Mühle-Glashütte, only one word is needed, exceptional.

The Panova Red By Mühle-Glashütte

With the Panova collection, the brand is trying to convey the ‘perfect watch-life balance’. Mühle-Glashütte’s goal was to create a watch suitable for professional and casual settings. The watches from the Panova line are just that. They are designed to be versatile everyday models which exude confidence and style. The watches within the line stand out through their eye-catching bright colour palettes. Their silhouettes and dials, however, are kept simple to avoid the watch looking too busy.

The Panova Red

The Panova Red is no exception. The timepiece is made with high-quality materials. The case is made of stainless steel and has a brushed finish. It measures 40 mm in diameter and 10.4 mm in thickness. An anti-glare sapphire crystal encases the bright red sunray dial, after which the model is named. Luminescent indices and baton-shaped hands increase the readability of the watch. The Panova Red comes in two distinct designs. The M1-40-78-NB watch is secured with a tasteful black and white striped NATO strap. The M1-40-78-LB on the other hand features a more classic black leather strap.

Features on the watch include hours, minutes and seconds alongside a stop-seconds function. It’s also water-resistant up to 100 meters or 10 bars. An automatic movement powers the timepiece. Its power reserve can last up to 38 hours. The calibre of the movement is SW 200-1 in the Mühle version. This ensures the watch’s durability as it features the shock-proof woodpecker neck regulation. The movement has an impressive accuracy of 0 to +8 seconds per day.

Through their Panova watch, Mühle-Glashütte shows that a timepiece does not need to sacrifice aesthetic to be durable or functional. The brand has managed to combine form and function into a timepiece that perfectly suits the needs of both collectors and beginners.
