Frederique Constant’s Vitality Watches

Frederique Constant's Vitality Watches

The Frederique Constant brand was established in 1988 in Geneva. Placing a focus not only on the engineering and functionality of their watches, but also on the materials and design, the brand found great success after the release of their first collection in 1992. Frederique Constant has always had a clear vision for their future. Since its conception, the brand has strived to create and offer their customers luxurious high-end timepiece at reasonable prices. Following the philosophy of accessible luxury, Frederique Constant’s Vitality watches fill in an overlooked niche in the horological industry.

Frederique Constant released the first of their smartwatches as part of their Horological Smartwatch collection in 2015. The concept of the horological smartwatches was to retain the aesthetic of the traditional dress wristwatch while also allowing the wearer to benefit from smart functionalities. Unlike many smartwatches which generally maintain a sportier, rugged aesthetic, Frederique Constant’s smart timepieces offer an elegant design, perfect to be worn everywhere and with anything. The clean streamlined design of the models makes the watches look just as good with a suit as they do with a pair of jeans.

The Frederique Constant’s Vitality watches take this concept one step further. These models feature not only an analgue dial, but a hidden digital dial as well. As the digital display is able to be brought up on demand, you are the only one who knows you’re wearing a smartwatch. This design expands the watch’s versatility. These new models also feature a integrated sensor powered by Philips Wearable Sensing.

The watch can be connected to your smartphone and is compatible with the Frederique Constant Smartwatch phone app. The app records and displays detailed reports on your activity and health, making tracking your progress and wellbeing easier than ever. In addition, the app features a dynamic coaching system to help you reach your full potential. The watch’s elegant design allows you to gather more consistent data than ever before as there’s no need for you to take the watch off. Amongst the features included on this watch are sleep and activity tracking, heart rate monitoring, a second timezone and smart notifications.

This Vitality model features a polished stainless steel case in two parts. It measures at 42 mm in diameter. Increasing the watch’s durability is a convex sapphire crystal. Sapphire protects the dial from scratches and ensures long-lasting wear in any circumstances. The dial of the watch is black with a sunray finish. Silver markers and hand polished leaf-shaped hands contrast it, increasing the overall readability of the watch. The digital screen is discreetly placed at the bottom part of the dial, above the 6 o’clock hour-marker. A black textured rubber strap secures the watch and gives it a slight sporty tone, while maintaining the elegant aesthetic of the line. The smartwatch is water-resistant up to 5 bars or 50 meters.
