Introducing Nixon Watches

Nixon is a contemporary fashion and accessory brand whose dedication to sustainability and design places them amongst the world’s most anticipated brands. Established in 1998, the brand’s co-founders Chad DiNenna and Andy Laats wanted to provide free-thinkers and nonconformists with a fresh take on premium lifestyle accessories. Now after more than two decades of hard work and devotion to their cause, Nixon products are available in over 90 countries.

Introducing Nixon Watches

The vision its creators had for the brand was one of collaboration. By consulting activists and specialists and involving them in the design aspect of the products, Nixon watches have managed to create a beautifully symbiotic relationship between functionality and looks. Not only designers but musicians, athletes and artists of all calibres are involved; amongst which are professional surfer Leila Hurst and skateboarder Zion Wright. Combining all of their shared experiences allows for the brand’s pieces to be always a step ahead.

Introducing Nixon Watches: Sustainability

Nixon understands the importance of conservation of the Earth’s natural resources. When it comes to sustainability and eco-consciousness the brand realises and accepts its responsibility. 4 of the brand’s best-selling watch models are made of recycled plastic material which would have ended up in the world’s waterways, the ocean or the sea. This step, however, is just the beginning for Nixon, who have ensured that they will continue pushing forward in their fight against water pollution.

Introducing Nixon Watches: The watches

Nixon Regulus | All Black | Digital | Black TPU Strap

Introducing Nixon Watches

The Regulus model was developed in collaboration and with input from agents at the US Special Operations corps. This high-performance model is created to be rugged and withstand extreme conditions. Its 46 mm case is made of custom injection moulded TR90. The bezel and case back are made of stainless steel. Encasing the digital dial is a hardened mineral crystal. The strap is just as durable as the case. It’s made of custom injection moulded free-swing TPU 80. It features a tapered design and has a water flow texture on the underside. Each Multicam watchband is one of a kind and hand cut so there might be differences between models. The movement of the watch is encased in Poron foam giving it increased shock absorption. Features on the watch include a dual time format, a perpetual calendar, dual chronographs, a count down timer, 3 independent alarms, an adjustable LED backlight as well as a silent mode. The model is also water-resistant up to 100 metres or 10 bars.

Nixon Time Teller | All Gold / Black Sunray | Gold IP Bracelet | Black Dial

Introducing Nixon Watches

Nixon watches are not only functional but also fashionable. The Time Teller models were designed to resemble retro-models passed down through generations. The watch’s simple minimalist design allows for it to be stylised in a variety of ways. Its case and bracelet are made of yellow gold PVD coated stainless steel. A hardened mineral crystal encases the black dial. Maintaining the minimalist monochrome design, simple rectangular indices and baton hands in yellow gold contrast the dial. The watch is water-resistant to 10 bars and has a Miyota Japanese quartz 3 hand movement.
