Raymond Weil Reveals New Green Freelancer

Green watches are a rising trend within the luxury watch market this year. If you follow our blog then you will have already come across the green HydroConquest that Longines have just released. Raymond Weil are following suit with this trend as they reveal their new green freelancer.

The journey of this creation began in 2017 when Raymond Weil developed an exclusive in house movement which was produced by manufacturer, Sellita. The movement was named Calibre RW1212 which was inspired by the brand’s global headquarters in Grand-Lancey.

Here is a look at the first campaign for the new Calibre:

The movement represents over 40 years of Swiss watchmaking tradition and expertise, therefore, the movement was placed in Raymond Weil’s bestselling Freelancer collection.

Since the release of the new movement, Raymond Weil have been crafting models for the Freelancer collection which includes the latest release which comes in a handsome shade of green. The model was designed with the colour palette for 2020 in mind!

The latest addition to the Freelancer collection comes with a 42mm dial in stainless steel that is framed by a green satin chapter ring with silver indices. The centre of the dial features a visible balance wheel located above the 6 o’lock position. The open aperture design, which takes centre stage, highlights the exclusive movement crafted by Raymond Weil with automatic winding movement.
