James Bond Film Postponed Until November

Covid 19 (also known as Coronavirus) has effected the lives of people all over the globe. From the cancellation of major events, including Baselworld, to the recent isolation of over 16 million people in Italy. Now the virus is impacting the watch industry and the film industry as the new James Bond has been postponed until November. The highly anticipated film was originally due to be released in April.

Omega is well know for their collaborations with the popular franchise and are due to release a new timepiece in honor of the new bond film. This is not the first time Omega has collaborated with the films, in fact, they have been creating timepiece for Bond films for the last 25 years.

To celebrate the launch of the new timepiece, Omega held an event in New York, which Daniel Craig attended. As it was the 25th year of Omega creating watches for the British spy, guests were greeted by a display of all the Seamaster’s made for the Bond films over the years.

About the Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition

Crafted from lightweight Grade 2 Titanium, this timepiece was designed with 007 in mind. The stylish mesh strap is also made from grade 2 titanium. This one of a kind watch comes with military style engravings and a vintage appearance, characterised by the tropical brown aluminium dial and bezel.

“When working with OMEGA, we decided that a lightweight watch would be key for a military man like 007. I also suggested some vintage touches and colours to give the watch a unique edge. The final piece looks incredible.”

The Seamaster Diver 300m 007 edition is non-limited and has been placed among Omega’s Iconic- Current collection. The release date for this model was back in February, two months before the release of the new Bond film, until it was recently postponed.
