Fall Fashion Trends 2018

fall fashion trends

Calling all fashionista’s! Girls, the time has come for you to prepare your wardrobe for autumn fashion 2018. You might be thinking that its a little soon for autumn and winter fashion trends, however, with it being August we only actually have a month left of summer.

Whilst we have had some very futuristic and statement collections from Gucci and Louis Vuitton I have drawn my focus to designers that can be accessorised well with brands that we stock. Here is a look at Gucci’s collection:

Gucci’s collection and fashion show are both breaking the boundaries of fashion this season, their main features being headpieces and a manic eighties style. Here are some of the highlights of fall fashion trends 2018.

Fall Fashion Trends 2018

Animal Print

Across the four fashion capitals we saw a lot of animal print from a variety of different designers. Animal print has been around for centuries. In the middle ages the higher classes used to use animal prints as a status symbol. It became a popular fashion trend in the 1960’s also at the time the bohemian fashion style came to the top of the trends.

Guess

We have selected an animal print look straight off Max Mara’s catwalk from fall fashion week. This look combines three different styles of cheetah print, which is the main style of print for this season. If you want an accessory that will suit the animal print fashion trend then we recommend Guess’s rose gold and tortoise print watch. Animal print is a style which works as a statement, this watch will help to complete your up to date fashion look for fall this 2018. This watch would be well styled with rose gold accessories such as simplistic bracelets rings and more.

If your loving this look by Max Mara then here is their full fashion show:

Plaid

This is a fashion look that we often saw in the catwalks of 2017 and now its back again as fall fashion trends for 2018. This trend is coming in the form of blazers, skirts, coats as well as accessories. There are many prints out in the fashion world now, however, plaid is easily one of the most classic prints. It may come to no surprise that the origins of plaid actually come from Scotland, the same as the home of tartan. Tartan is based off specific colours which represent meaning and history, however, plaid has more freedom when it comes to the colour.

For our plaid look we have chosen one of The Row’s styles straight from their 2018 fall catwalk. This look shows off all full plaid outfit with the centrepiece being the oversized jacket. If you are a huge fan of plaid (I know I am) then we have a watch which might catch your eye, Barbour’s Mitford watch. If you desire an accessory that can be styled with a variety of different looks then this watch might be well suited to your wardrobe. The colours of this print are subtle and would be well suited to a formal work environment, especially with a white free flowing blouse.

Red

You might find that a fashion trend orientated around the colour red is unusual, however it is not the colour that is the trend as such but how it can be styled in a monochromatic look. Red was seen on majority of the catwalks this fall 2018 but it was also actually one of the main colours of winter 2017.

We have picked one of Marc Jacobs more bold designs from his collection in his fall fashion show. The oversized jacket and hat are the perfect combination for a vintage feel and style, a design which might have been inspired by the fashion of the gentry in the 20’s and 30’s. In light of this we paired up a bold red Evo2 timepiece from Mondaine which will certainly add to your look. Their watch shows off oversized hands in a gorgeous shade of red. It would look good both as the centrepiece of your red accessories or alternatively as part of an all red look with a playsuit or red dress.

If you are loving Marc Jacobs style this 2018 here is a closer look into his fall fashion trends this seaon:

Leather

Leather is a fabric that has the capabilities of falling under many fashion trends, however, in the fashion shows this fall it wasn’t just leather at the top of the trends but leather dresses and pants. Historically, leather wasn’t just a fashion statement but used to protect hunters from the elements of their time. Of course, typically leather is associated with accessories, so leather pants, skirts and dress are a refreshing move in the fashion market.

Leather is one of the most popular fabrics in the watch market so it wasn’t hard to find a watch to match the look of Huishan Zhang. For this dark and mysterious leather dress, we decided to pair Maurice Lacroix’s Eliros black leather watch. This timepiece is the height of sophistication and would be well suited for both everyday wear and formal occasions. This timepiece would be styled well with a black dress or a full suit, another trend which will be appearing in the fall of 2018.

If you are loving Huishan Zhang’s style as much as we are this season here is a glimpse of their fall fashion trends for 2018:
