Women’s Watches for Swimming

Swimming

As we are now in the summer months of 2018, those that are active with sports are going to need an accessory that can adapt to their activities. I find that I swim most during the summer and spring months as in the winter its just too cold! You may also being going away to enjoy the sun and sea and need a watch you don’t need to worry about taking off every-time you want to have a swim.

If you are not familiar with the terms of water resistance when it comes to watches here is a quick guide so you know what to look for.

Water Resistance

30 Metres: This watch is suitable for everyday use. If you get caught in the rain, the watch will not be effected. It is not suitable for swimming, showering, bathing, fishing, water related jobs or diving.

50 Metres: This watch can withstand swimming, fishing and white water rafting however it cannot survive in more pressing activities such as diving, snorkelling.

100 Metres: This watch would be suitable for recreational surfing, swimming, snorkelling, sailing and water sports. This watch would not be suitable for diving.

200 Metres: If your a professional diver or have a marine based job then this is the watch category for you as these category of watches are suitable for both of these professions.

Today however we will be looking at watches which are water resistant up to 50 metres, starting with Ted Baker’s Isla white watch.

Ted Baker

This bright timepiece is well suited to girls that like wearing colour. This watch has a touch of pink with hot pink hands and comes in a gold case. This watch is perfect for the poolside and can be easily coordinated with a variety of different holiday outfits due to the white and gold tones.

The next watch on our recommendations is Pulsar’s stainless steelĀ  and ceramic watch, it main attraction being the mother of pearl dial.

Pulsar

As this watch is a combination of stainless steel and ceramic it will go well with silver jewellery and accessories as well as white. This watch is not only suitable for the pool side because of it’s water resistance but for formal dinners when you go out.

If you are looking for a water resistant watch which has more of a nautical theme then Paul Hewitt’s Sailor steel mesh watch might be a perfect watch.

Paul Hewitt

The nautical themes not only originate because of Paul Hewitt’s brand identity but also from the anchor that can be found at the 6 o’clock mark of the dial. The mesh dial on this watch is sophisticated in style and highly fashionable in the watch market currently.

You may on the other hand be looking for an elegant timepiece that is the kind of accessory you never really take off. If this is the case then we recommend Maurice Lacroix’s Eliros Moonphase watch.

Maurice Larcoix

This watch is elite in style with it’s gold plated case as well as function which not only includes water resistance but also moon phase. This watch radiates class and elegance with roman numerals for markers, a beautiful representation of Swiss craftsmanship.
