New Casio GravityMaster
When Casio released the first GravityMaster it was praised as being a robust, versatile watch that could withstand a range of conditions. The watch has an array of features including the Super-Illuminator, Solar Power, Radio signal reception and GPS-accurate time. It seemed unlikely to ever been superseded by another model however that day has come and we couldn’t be more excited to be stocking the brand new and improved Casio’s New GravityMaster .
The GPW-2000-1AER Gravitymaster Bluetooth® V4.1 is born! It has the same amazing features as its little brother however it now features Bluetooth® V4.1 and the watch has a few aesthetic adjustments. This watch can now connect to your smartphone via its Bluetooth® V4.1 (Low Energy) which takes this watch one step further.You can see which phones are able to pair with the device here. The watch also features a Super-Illuminator so now users can have a brightly illuminated display at the touch of a button. To reduce the risk of knocks and bangs to the watch from damaging its movement the watch is shock-resistant construction protects against impact and vibration. The watches housing has been design to encase the watch in a protective shield against magnetic fields and its Solar Powered so it uses a solar cell instead of a battery and draws power from light.
The GPW Gravitymaster receives Radio signal reception (EU, USA, Japan, China) so whether you are travelling or away on business in Europe, North America and Japan or in the outer reaches of Canada, Central America and China the watch can receive the correct time from one of the three radio signals – once the watch has been set to the local time, it receives the relevant signal and shows the correct time wherever you are. In many countries, it also sets itself automatically to summer and winter time. On top of the amazing radio control the watch also has GPS-accurate time which means that thanks to the GPS receiver, the watch always displays the GPS-accurate time no matter where you are in the world.
The watch has a world time function and will display the current time in major cities and specific areas around the world whilst its Dual Time Display allows you to log two different times and easily switch between the two which is perfect for when you are on holiday and want to know what time it is back home so you contact friends or when you’re on a business trip and you need to call your boss. You can keep track of the day and date with the date and weekday display which are both displayed simultaneously. The watch has a stopwatch function with a staggering max time measurement of 24 hours and elapsed times are measured with split-second accuracy. If you are a fan of precision this watch is for you as the countdown timers help you to remember specific or recurring events by giving off an audible signal at a preset time. The time can be set to the nearest minute and up to 24 hours in advance. Ideal for people who need to take medicines every day or those who do interval training. The watches daily alarm reminds you of events that recur every day, by emitting an audible signal at the set time.
You are able to secure the watches crown button as it has a screw down crown with a crown button lock which helps to protect the crown button from accidental change to another mode of operation. The watch also features an automatic hand adjustment function that checks the home position of the hands every hour and corrects it if necessary — either by adjusting e.g. from shocks or using the influence of magnetism and the watches Smart Access Technology makes it so easy to operate multi-function watches. Simply pulling out and rotating the crown provides intuitive control over all functions. If you are going to take the watch on holiday you can switch the watch to offline mode at the touch of a button allowing you to disable the wireless or GPS receiver when in the air for the duration of the flight. The watch itself does not have any access to flight logs however the app has a flight log memory which is available when you download the G-shock app and sync it to your phone which can log your flights for you.
The watch has automatic calendar that once set will automatically display the correct date. The watches display is protected by a sapphire crystal glass which is artificially manufactured with highest hardness and scratch resistance. The wrist strap and case is a carbon resin which on their own are rather stress-resistant and durable however its when they come together that they create a wrist strap that is extra robust and extremely durable. And the “carbon design” on the wrist strap not only looks elegant, it also lends the watch a sporty, dynamic touch.
The watches battery level indicator to show you the current level of power that the watch has and a good water resistance classification (20 bar) which makes it perfect for free diving without scuba gear: the watch is water resistant up to 20 bar according to ISO 22810.
