Frederique Constant Analytics Clip

Frederique Constant announced that they were releasing their own analytics clip back at Baselworld 2017. It is now May and after much anticipation the stock we ordered has finally arrived and is ready for sale on our website. We have taken a few more photos for those of you who have been interested or who have been looking forward to them since our initial blog post about the clip which you can read here for more information and links for the App etc.

We have five of these in stock currently and are expecting these to sell out quite fast so if you are very set on buying one I’d be quick! After opening one today for the first time I can definitely say that it lived up to my expectation. It is light weight very easy to use and works for both Android and Apple IOS. Inside the box is a clip with an aux cable connector on one end and the clip on the other, a very small instruction booklet and that’s literally it. It is this kind of simplicity that will attract people to this analytics clip, people want to be able to check their watch is functioning correctly but most of all they need to be able to do it quickly. In the modern age no one has time to sit and spend 20-30 minutes monitoring their watch and working out the accuracy of the movement.

With this new Frederique Constant Analytics Clip you just clip it on, plug it in and open the app, simple!

To be able to use the clip you need to sign up to the Analytics app on your phone using the registration form and then enter the code which is on the back of the instructions manual. We have asked if the code is able to be removed from your phone and entered on a new one or if it is only usable one and non transferable, as soon as we have a reply from Frederique Constant we will let you know.

Once this is all entered you are ready to measure your watch, simply click the app to load it up and it will take you through to a configuration screen from this menu you can turn ‘Auto Detect’ on or off using the slide button depending on if you want the clip to try and detect the watch and model.

At the bottom of the screen is the ‘Analyse’ button once you click this it will measure the watch for its ticks. Please note this must be done in a quiet environment to reduce the potential noise pollution affecting your results.

The clip alongside the app measures the beat and the stability of the movement to analyse your watch and after a few moments the heartbeat will start to beat and you will notice a graph being drawn near the bottom. Once it has completed the app with open a pop up window letting you know if you watch is losing or gaining time and by how much a day. You also have the options to restart the test or save the test.

Clicking on save will take you to the full analytics screen for that tests data, from here you can add a new watch, see the average speed gain or loss, view the stability and select an existing watch. In summary I think the Frederique Constant Analytics Clip is an amazing piece of kit that any watch serious watch collector or owner should have, it has a whole host of occasions that I can think of to use it such as when you are thinking of buying a second hand or vintage timepiece and need to test the movement isn’t faulty or broken.
