We’re back with another piece of news from Movado! Ever since Baselworld this year Movado have have release after release with new models, updated collections and sneak peaks at later releases this year. This collection is no exception, Introduced in the 1980’s as the must have elegant new expression of the Art Deco, the Movado Esperanza® collection rapidly snowballed in popularity to one of the most saught after watches in of its time and price range. It is extremely istinctive in character, the collection was defined by its bold architectural bracelet design with open vertical length links giving this bracelet a never seen before style. This signature bracelet was coupledso beautifully with the round, soft curved case that we expect from Movado and its works so well. the bracelet really complements the simple purity of the Museum dial.

After 35 years Movado decided that this iconic colelction needed a little bit of TLC and annoucned that a revamp was on the cards. In 2016, Movado re-launched the Movado Esperanza with the introduction of not just one but four new women’s models crafted in polished stainless steel it was also updated with a modern hinged case attachment which made the bracelet so much more ‘free falling’ as it not only comforted the wrist but was also lighter and new push deployment clasp was both aesthetically pleasing and convenience. As expected the collection feautred that famous convave dot however the Esperanza’s re-designed Museum dials gave the watch that subtle but much needed double-layered dimension which was achievable by using a raised outer ring which was the perfect contrasting texture creating complete tonal intrigue.

2017 saw Movado Esperanza in the spotlight again after its continued success over the last year since its revamp, Movado came to Baselworld prepared to impress and they didn’t fail to do just that! The brand have added an elegant new women’s model to their already highly sophisticated collection only raising its prestige even higher. This model oozes luxury, with two-toned versatility this new Esperanza has been fashioned from the highest quality stainless steel and rose gold PVD. It features a round 28 mm case, a mere 5.70 mm deep. The high class rose gold-toned bezel frames a lustrous rare mother-of-pearl Museum dial which is a first for Movado, simply detailed by a sand-blasted outer ring, rose gold-toned dot and matching rose gold-toned dauphine hour and minute hands.
