Check Out Ex-Premiership Striker Emmanuel Adebayor’s Watch Collection

If there’s one thing we’ve learned in 2015 it it’s that celebrities love wristwatches. Usher, Brad Pitt and the ultra-popular Monster Girls have all been featured in stories right here on our blog. As 2015 comes to a close, one more celebrity has decided to get in on the act! I’m not saying that he did it specifically to get a story on our blog, but I must admit that the thought that he may have done has crossed my mind.

This week Emmanuel Adabeyor’s watch collection was posted on Instagram by the ex-Premiership striker and it is very impressive! So, in today’s blog post we will check out Emmanuel Adebayor’s watch collection and find out a bit more about the Togolese strikers latest controversy!

What’s In Emmanuel Adebayor’s Watch Collection?

Ex-Premiership striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been without a club for the last six months, although he is still being paid £100,000 per week until June 30th by his last club Tottenham Hotspur. It has to be said that it seems as though Adebayor is enjoying his earnings, especially if his latest Instagram picture is anything to go by. The controversial footballer posted a photo of his collection of watches with a total value of £450,000!

The least expensive watch in his collection comes in at a cool £10,000 – while the most expensive watch is worth an incredible £100,000. You’ll notice that the watches in his collection are showing different times – but don’t worry, they aren’t broken! Many of the watches in Emmanuel Adebayor’s watch collection are automatically winding watches which won’t wind up until he wears them.

The full list of watches in Emmanuel Adebayor’s collection, from cheapest to most expensive, are:

Hublot Big Bang – £10,000

Cvstos Challenge – £15,000

Hublot Big Bang With Diamonds – £15,000

Synper One M Full Sertie – £15,000

AP Royal Oak Offshore – £20,000

Delacour City Ego – £20,000

Hublot Limited Edition F1 King Power – £25,000

Jacob & Co 5 Times Zones 2 – £50,000

Delacour Bichrono S2 – £100,000

Hublot Big Bang King Power Chrono Tourbilon – £100,000

As you can see from this collection, the controversial footballer certainly has expensive taste when it comes to watches. And the striker almost certainly knew that he’d be causing controversy when he posted his watch collection. He added “SEA, haters are gonna hate. Imma do me no matter what.” Which suggests that despite the fact that he is going to cause some controversy, Emmanuel Adebayor is going to do whatever he wants!

The former Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Spurs striker has caused a lot of controversy in the past. A couple of years ago the striker, who was playing for Spurs at the time, blamed a poor start to the season on his mother practicing witchcraft. Adebayor said that his mother was practicing Juju and had placed a “voodoo curse” on him to stop him from scoring goals because she was angry. He claimed that this happened after he had fallen out with his mother and threw her out of the family home in Africa.

Although, around the same time, he also blamed Spurs fans for his bad form saying that he preferred it when he wasn’t playing at home. He said that it was better to know that you were being booed by opposition fans rather than his own fans. Perhaps both of these reasons for his bad form were true, or maybe they were both just excuses!

If that wasn’t enough to wind up Spurs fans, he also posted a picture to Instagram with friend Benoit Assou-Ekotto following a 5-0 defeat to Liverpool. In the photograph the pair were raising 5 fingers, which many assumed to be a reference to the score. However, the striker denied these claims, he said that the photo was taken before the game and he could never have predicted that the match would end 5-0.

It came as no surprise following the antics of the talented, but difficult to handle, footballer that Tottenham Hotspur would become tired of his actions. In the end they agreed to pay off the majority of his contract to convince him to leave the club. Shortly after his departure he was also banned from playing for the Togolese national team after he requested to only be considered for certain games. Considering that the striker was no longer playing any club football, it’s not certain exactly what was he was doing which meant that he did not have the time to link up with the Togo squad! Perhaps it might have been the time he has spent putting together this impressive watch collection!

It’s not certain where Emmanuel Adebayor and his watch collection will be found next. But it would be no surprise to find him adding to his expensive watch collection by the time his £100,000 a week payments from Spurs finally end.

Conclusion

Emmanuel Adebayor’s watch collection is certainly an impressive one, which must be the envy of any serious watch afficionado. But you don’t need to spend as much as the ex-Premiership striker spent to put together a quality watch collection which you can be proud of.
