I find that the style of watch that I want to wear often varies with the season as well as the weather. Sometimes even where I am or what I m doing can influence my decision of timepiece that I wear for the day. It’s been sunny all weekend here in the West Midlands and we’re hoping for more of the sunny weather over the course of the coming week so I wanted to showcase some of our latest arrivals from Seiko and see what you all think.<\/p>\n

\"seiko<\/a><\/p>\n

The Seiko SUP300P1<\/a> and the SUP302P1<\/a>\u00a0are brand new 2018 model releases from Seiko Watches<\/a>. Each of these watches are simple and elegant with Japanese quartz movements and both are solar powered so you never have to worry about having to change the battery. Seiko have gone for a simplistic understated design with these two variations whilst still retaining a sophisticated aesthetic.<\/p>\n

Each model comes with a genuine leather strap either in black or brown and a yellow gold plated stainless steel case which measures 26.1mm wide and 6mm thick. They are the perfect addition to a suit or outfit for work and due to their small size they are incredibly lightweight. Both models feature batons for hour markers and the watch is water resistant to 30 metres. As with all out Seiko watches each of these models comes with a two year guarantee fully dated and stamped where appropriate.<\/p>\n

The Seiko Astron<\/a> Steel Date Display GPS Solar SSE149J1<\/a>\u00a0is a stunning statement watch perfect as a dress watch and for day to day wear. The watches movement is a caliber 8X43 which contains a GPS solar driving system and can operate for approximately 6 months from fully charged and with power saving mode activated it can last approximately 2 years. The watch case and case back is made from Stainless steel with ceramic parts too. The watches glass is a premium sapphire crystal for optimal scratch resistance and the glass has been coated in a super clear coating to to glare from light sources on the face which could make it hard to read.<\/p>\n

The case is 13mm thick and 45.5mm in diameter, the perimeter of the bracelet is a standard 190. The watch has a long list of extended features which include the following; A screw down case back for optimum water resistant even when diving, an overcharge prevention function to stop you from accidentally overcharging the watch, dual time function so you can view the time in multiple time zones around the world.<\/p>\n

Other features include a power reserve function as mentioned above, time zone adjust by receiving a radio signal. This is made possible by the GPS function of the watch, it can communicate with a GPS satellite to receive automatic time adjustments which is a pretty impressive feature of this watch and a massive selling point for Seiko. Another function is\u00a0Satellite acquisition status display function, reception result display function so you can see when you successfully pick up a signal, a feature to stop the GPS signal function from working during flight mode and an automatic hand position alignment function which is great for users who want the watch to adjust and set the time adjustments and tweaks automatically instead of having to manually go through and change them.<\/p>\n

This model is also available in black and blue (SSE101J1<\/a>), All blue (SSE005J1<\/a>), black and gold (SSE007J1<\/a>) and s patterned line blue dial (SSE159J1<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\"seiko<\/a><\/p>\n

The Seiko watches SUP873P1<\/a> and SUP872P1<\/a> are quartz solar timepieces much like the first ones we looked at but with larger dials for gentlemen with bigger wrists or who are looking for more of a statement piece rather than an understated wristwatch. The straps are genuine leather and both watches are solar powered, the movement is protected by a stainless steel case available in silver or yellow gold. Both watches are water resistant but only to 30 metres so we wouldn’t recommend swimming with them. The case width of these two watches is 38mm where as the first two were 26.1mm so there is a big difference is dial size.<\/p>\n

Seiko watches UK<\/a> released a number of new Seiko 5 models<\/a> called the Seiko 5 Sports collection which comprises of five new models with variations on each model. The prices of each do range due to the variations and production costs however they are all very affordable especially for the amount of technology in each watch.
