This new trio of watches are the first GPS Solar Chronograph models within the Prospex collection; the most evolved next-generation chronograph in Seiko history. With a heritage of many world-first achievements in chronograph development, these watches use the latest developments in watchmaking to advance the Speedtimer legacy. One piece features orange colour accents inspired by the original Panda, another features bright yellow accent colouring, and the third celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Seiko name on a watch. Core Features of The All-New Seiko Prospex GPS Solar Watches<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The colourway of each watch may vary, but the design and features remain universal. Under the dual-curved sapphire crystal glass, the watches feature a dual-time display, a high-speed timezone adjustment feature and a time transfer function. As well as this, each dial features luminous baton indices and hands, alongside a date aperture at the 4:30 position. With an automatic hand position alignment function, a chronograph up to 12 hours in 1\/20 second increments, and a day display, each watch impresses with its great functionality. Further enhancing this functionality, a chronograph scale features on the inner bezel of each model. The legibility of the stopwatch function is enhanced by designing the UTC time zone markings on the side of the bezel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As their name suggests, each watch comes with an array of GPS functions. From a function to prevent the GPS signal reception (in flight mode), to a GPS signal reception function and a satellite acquisition status display function, the watches are perfect for those who travel frequently. Each watch also includes a perpetual calendar, a time transfer function and a world time function for 38 different cities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seiko’s in-house 5X83 Solar GPS calibre powers each timepiece. With the capability to measure elapsed time through its chronograph feature, which can measure elapsed time up to 1\/20th of a second, the movement ensures great practicality, reliability and durability; three requirements that ensure Prospex watches meet the high standards required in extreme environments. Moreover, the movement is accurate to \u00b1 15 seconds per month and it has a power reserve of 6 months at full charge. The watch can be charged by any light source, either natural sunlight or artificial light, for convenience. Thanks to this, they are the perfect pieces for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking inspiration from the renowned 1972 monochrome ‘Panda’ chronograph design, this watch features the same chronograph style as the original. As well as this, it exhibits the iconic orange accents; on two of the chronograph hands and the tip of the second hand. The black inner bezel, and matching black hands, offer a smart contrast to the white-silver dial. Measuring 42mm in diameter, a stainless steel case frames the dial. This case houses the 5X83 Solar GPS calibre movement that powers the timepiece. A simple stainless steel bracelet concludes the design of this watch. As well as this, it exhibits iconic yellow accents; signifying the yellow of Seiko Timing Services. Offering a cool contrast to the black dial, the hands and inner bezel are white and silver. By taking the colourway of the previous model, reversing it and swapping the orange accents for yellow, Seiko has made two greatly complementing timepieces. Thanks to its screw-down crown this watch is water-resistant up to 100 metres, making it more than suitable for daily wear.
