The brand is at Baselworld<\/a> this year and they have some big announcements too! The first one has been announced today and its big. It is to\u00a0mark the brands 30th anniversary of its stunning\u00a0Newport collection<\/a> created which was first announced in 1988. The French Michel Herbelin has decided to completely redesigned the iconic automatic chronograph.<\/p>\n

The brand has decided to release this new model at Baselworld 2018 so as to give it the huge launch that it deserves. It is available worldwide however it is limited to only 300 pieces. We personally love the new model it really shows off what Michel Herbelin can do without drawing too far away from the original Newport style and distinctive character that the brands fans love so much.<\/p>\n

A new power unit with automatic pilot <\/span><\/h2>\n

The new Newport watch has an incredible Swiss-made Sellita SW510 <\/a><\/span>mechanical movement<\/span><\/a>\u00a0which can oscillate at 28,800 vibrations per hour incorporating 25 jewels.\u00a0The Newport Chronograph features a 42 hour power reserve and a beautiful\u00a0<\/span>transparent case back which reveals an oscillator which has “Michel Herbelin” engraved on and is decorated with a C\u00f4tes de Gen\u00e8ve pattern. This watch is a dream for connoisseurs of fine mechanisms.<\/span><\/p>\n

Michel Herbelin proide themselves on their manufacturing studio in the\u00a0Franche-Comt\u00e9 mountains located in Jura. This new timepiece is no exception to this and has been drawn, designed, assembled, adjusted and inspected there. Watches made here have to adhere to the strict requirements and tests which have been going on for 70 years of French watchmaking Tradition and<\/span>\u00a0offers the assurance of stringent technical standards. <\/span><\/p>\n

This new model is limited to only 300 worldwide however if you do not manage to get one before they sell out Michel Herbelin have announced that they will be releasing an unlimited version too. You will be able to tell the two apart as the anniversary timepiece will have a steel case embellished with a blue sunburst dial and it is finished with a golden leather strap.<\/span><\/p>\n
