Seiko Prospex ‘Pogue’ Solar Chronograph 1969 Re-interpretation <\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Dial and Movement <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Characteristic of the 6139 original, the dial of this watch is vivid yellow with a chronograph design. Vintage-style baton indices and hands adorn the dial; they all feature a LumiBrite coating. Accurately recreating the ‘Pogue’, the second hand, and sub-dial minute hand at 6 o’clock are in a bright red colour. In addition to this, a date aperture features between 4 and 5 o’clock. On its inside ring, the dial exhibits a chronometer second scale. It ensures for accurate timekeeping. For optimal clarity and durability, curved sapphire glass, with an anti-reflecting coating on its inner surface, protects the dial. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This modern recreation features a V192 solar chronograph calibre which charges in both natural and artificial light. So even if you’re busy on the go, this watch will always be by your side; it will never let you down. Accurate to +\/- 15 seconds per month, it has a power reserve of 6 months at full charge. As well as this, the watch is equipped with an overcharge prevent function and a power reserve indicator. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Case and Finishing Touches <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the style of the original, a blue and red aluminium bezel, with a tachymeter feature, frames the dial. Alongside this is a stainless steel case. Measuring 41.4mm in diameter, it provides a solid base for the watch; creating a statement on the wrist whilst it does so. Thanks to the screw-down crown, this Seiko is water-resistant up to 100 metres (10 bar). So no matter if you wear it every day, or you save it for those special occasions, it is a practical and suitable choice for both! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
