Each month we look at a series of colours for the month, February bringing us purple shades. Being the shortest month of the year, this February goes without a full moon and is in fact the only month that can have this absence out of the 12 months. <\/span><\/p>\n

History<\/span><\/h2>\n

Within the month of February, various historic events took place such as the beheading of Mary Queen of Scots in 1587, Margaret Thatcher becoming the first female prime minister in 1975 and in 1797 the bank of England issuing the first one pound note.<\/span><\/p>\n
