Diving at night can bring a whole new meaning to the phase the “deep blue<\/em>” many divers agree with this stating that when they dive at night the whole marine world can appear completely different. Watches that divers use need to be reliable so that divers can time their dives and of the highest quality to withstand the pressures of the deep. Seiko have taken this into account when designing the three models that make up the Black Series. The watch case fully protected by a hard black coating which has been chosen to blend in with the darkness of the deep sea. Night time divers actually use orange light when diving rather than white or yellow, this has been replicated on the new models with a bright orange minute hand allowing for the diver to see the exact time in poor or low lighting conditions. Even in the dark, Seiko\u2019s unique LumiBrite ensures reliable visibility.<\/p>\n

Screw-down crowns are common practise for watches intended for diving in the big blue, it not only ensures great security against water ingress but also reassures the diver so they don’t need to keep checking their equipment.
