In exciting news, Jeep has teamed with Marathon<\/a> to unveil a quartet of tough tool watches! The Jeep x Marathon collection embodies the resilient spirit of both companies and reflects upon their shared military roots. When it comes to design, this series draws inspiration from two of Jeep’s most iconic vehicles; the Willys MB used by the U.S. in World War II and the modern Wrangler Rubicon. Over 80 Years in the Making: The Jeep x Marathon Collection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Available with either a quartz or automatic movement, this collaboration consists of two different models; a dive watch and a field watch. The dive watch is a special version of Marathon’s best-known watch, the Search and Rescue (SAR) diver, and it takes inspiration from the modern Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Whereas, the field watch is a new interpretation of Marathon’s Officer’s Field watch and it draws inspiration from the original Willys Jeep. A testament to an ethos of utilitarian design, each watch pays homages to brands’ origins. So no matter which model you choose, you can guarantee that is rugged, reliable and resilient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marathon Jeep Rubicon GSAR<\/a> & TSAR<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The black dials feature tritium tubes on all indices and hands as well as MaraGlo on the Arabic numerals with a new, blockier font. Even the Jeep logo is lumed for a fun touch! A red highlight features on the dial for the first 15 minutes of the track. An interesting choice as this feature is typically found on the bezel rather than the dial. Moreover, a sturdy 41mm stainless steel case and a 120-click bezel frame the dial on both versions. Overleaf, the case back features an engraving of the grill and round headlights of a Wrangler. An OD Green strap, made of FKM rubber, concludes the design of each Jeep Rubicon model. Most importantly, to show that both brands have put great thought into the collaboration, the straps include two separate lengths for a regular or short fit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each watch is also water-resistant up to 300 metres, so they are perfect companions for those adventurous individuals. Available as both a Sellita SW200-powered automatic (WW194006-4101<\/a>) and a date version of the high-torque ETA quartz (WW194007SS-4101<\/a>), the Jeep Rubicon SAR diver’s watch is tough and purpose-built. Offering some stylistic touches too, it looks great on the wrist!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marathon Jeep Willys SSGPM<\/a> & SSGPQ<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Jeep versions of the Officer’s Field Watch are much bigger than the standard SSGP versions currently made by Marathon. Being produced in a 41mm size, rather than 36mm, gives the watch a more bold appearance. In addition, the shape of the case is slightly different; it is more sharply angled and refined. The dials of the Jeep Willys SSGP models stay clear of tritium tubes and instead, opt for a full MaraGlo treatment. The numerals, lumed Jeep logo and fauxtina colour are all carried over from the Jeep Rubicon SARs, however, that is where the similarities end. The minute track, with 5-minute intervals, is completely new, and the inner 24-hour track has been jettisoned for an overall cleaner look. Finally, each watch is completed with a brown Crazy Horse leather strap. Like the one’s sold with the Jeep SARs, the strap includes standard and short lengths. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similar to the Jeep Rubicon diver’s watches, there are two different movements available for these Jeep Willys. The SSGPQ quartz version (WW194034SS-4001<\/a>) utilises a no-date version of the high-torque ETA calibre, while the SSGPM mechanical (WW194033SS-4001<\/a>) houses a hound-wound Sellita SW210-1 calibre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
