This new watch is limited to just 1,926 pieces worldwide, marking the year Father Time was gifted to Lord’s. The Inspiration Behind the Watch<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, there is a clock tower overlooking the pitch. At the top sits a weathervane, which is one of the most important factors that affects the decisions players make during a game of cricket. However, it’s so much more than just a weathervane. It’s one of the most iconic images in the world of cricket and is known as ‘Father Time’. Father Time is a mythical character said to watch over the passage of time. It’s thought he represents Law 12.3 of the Laws of Cricket, held by Marylebone Cricket Club, which signals the end of the day’s play. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to design, this new watch is a spin on the Big Crown Pointer Date; a signature watch characterised by its oversized crown. Its 40mm case, fluted bezel and crown are made of solid, naturally ageing bronze, so a unique patina will develop over time. A bronze articulated bracelet and light brown leather strap adopt a chic vintage design. As a final touch, each watch is delivered in a special presentation box decorated with the Father Time logo. In addition, a strap change tool is also found in the box. As a proud partner of Marylebone Cricket Club, and the first Official Timekeeper of Lord’s, Oris is proud to have created this beautiful bronze watch. This new watch exhibits a white dial with luminescent indices, numbers and hands. The bronze-coloured hands and minute scale complement the fluted bezel and add a sophisticated tone to the design. The watch features a 40mm case made from naturally ageing bronze and a stainless steel case back that is engraved with the Father Time weathervane and limited-edition number. Aided by the screw-in security crown, this model has a water resistance of up to 50 metres. A Swiss-made automatic movement equips this watch with its pointer date function; indicated by the iconic central hand with a red, crescent-shaped tip. The Oris Calibre 754 provides this watch with a 38-hour power reserve. This limited edition watch comes with both a bronze articulated bracelet and a light brown deer leather strap. The bronze bracelet fastens with a folding clasp while the leather strap fastens with a bronze buckle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
