Today, Longines<\/a> has unveiled its new Legend Diver watches. With a selection of four models, this new release is a reinterpretation of a Diver watch that the brand released in 1959.\u00a0All the models retain the spirit and clean lines of the original timepiece. However, they are now equipped with the most up-to-date technical features. This collection has a reputation for combining modern-day precision with stylish retro designs; these new releases are no exception. The New Longines Legend Diver watches<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Case and Dial<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Protecting the iconic core design of each watch is a stainless steel case. Staying faithful to the original model, the diameter of each case is 39mm. These watches are immediately recognisable due to their two crowns and internal rotating bezels. The deep blue dial of this model has elongated indices and raised luminescent Arabic numerals. Swiss Super LumiNova\u00ae covers the silver polished hands. This allows for time to be seen with optimal visibility; even in low light conditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pressed into the watch’s screw-down case back is a diver. This is the collection’s famous symbol, and all of the watches come equipped with this unique stamp. With a water resistance of up to 30 bar (300 metres), this watch is incredibly safe to wear on those diving adventures. For even further security, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial and several layers of anti-reflective coating encase both sides. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Movement and Finishing Touches<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Each Legend Diver watch from this new release is fit with a Longines exclusive L888.6 calibre. This self-winding mechanical movement beats at 25’200 vibrations per hour and 21 jewels. It also has a monocrystalline silicon balance spring with a power reserve of up to 72 hours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The watches in this launch either come with a stainless steel bracelet <\/a>or leather strap<\/a>. The stainless steel provides a more sporty image. Whereas the leather reinforces elements of elegance into this watch; something Longines prides itself on. This model features a gorgeous brown leather strap with a steel tongue buckle. It complements the black dial and greatly reinterprets the original Longines Diver watch that this launch is inspired by. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
