Yesterday was the day of the MeisterSinger limited edition Unomat launch. The Unomat range has previously been awarded the Red Dot Award for its design excellence, and this model lives up to the high standard of its predecessors. With its striking new orange colour, this new model taps into the brand\u2019s more playful side. The Unomat also breaks away from the traditional MeisterSinger<\/a> design style which makes this a very exciting release. In addition to this, the brand describes this new model as the \u201cmost robust watch MeisterSinger has ever made\u201d. However, with only 50 pieces available, you need to act fast! Dial and Case<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The real eye-catcher on this watch is definitely its bright orange dial. To contrast it, white appliqu\u00e9d Arabic numeral hour markers encircle the dial. Their black frame gives them more of a contemporary edge, which matches the style of the classic MeisterSinger singular hand at the centre of the dial. Both the needle-shaped central hand and the indices have a SuperLuminova coating, which enables readability in low lighting. Moreover, an added practical detail is the circular date display which replaces the 6 o\u2019clock marker. This exciting new distinctive dial design certainly makes the Unomat a stand-out model in the MeisterSinger portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Framing the dial is a stainless steel case, measuring 43mm in diameter. At 13.2mm deep, the watch makes a powerful statement on the wrist. A sturdy sapphire crystal then encases the dial and helps to seal in the model’s 300-metre (30 bar) water resistance. But the watch\u2019s durability extends beyond its water resistance. Within its case, it is also features a soft iron sleeve which protects the watch against radiation. So, in addition to its striking design, the watch also has the benefit of impressive resilience too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Movement and Finishing Touches<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Housed within the stainless steel case is a Swiss-made Sellita SW400 automatic mechanical movement. As with other MeisterSinger watch movements, this has been adapted to accommodate the watch\u2019s one-hand design. Additionally, the movement boasts a 38-hour power reserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Living up to its title as the \u201cmost robust watch MeisterSinger has ever made\u201d, the Unomat has several other security features. These include an extra strong case-back, a screw-down crown as well as robust flank protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, to top off the design, an orange rubber strap secures the watch to the wrist. Its vibrant colour maintains the energetic character of the watch, whilst ensuring optimal comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
