Raymond Weil Presents In House Calibre<\/h1>\n

Worldwide renowned brand Raymond Weil have released the Freelancer with a brand first Calibre RW1212 movement manufactured completely in-house. This is the first in-house movement Raymond Weil have ever produced and it is an amazing feat for the brand who are over the moon with the movement.<\/p>\n

The Calibre RW1212 is said to be a tribute to the present and is a symbol of the future with the movements name standing for RW – Raymond Weil and the 1212 – the location of the Geneva suburb Grand-Lancy. The movement is symbolic of the journey that Raymond Weil has travelled on as a brand as ell as celebrating their free-spirited approach we bring to the watchmaking industry. Their first in-house movement was born from their partnership with the Swiss movement manufacturer Sellita<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Virtuosic Precision<\/strong><\/p>\n

The RW1212 movement was created in collaboration with Sellita along side the R&D department of the Geneva watch company and once complete it was manufactured by the movement manufacturer who is based in Le Cret-du-Locle which is up in the Jura mountains.<\/p>\n

The watch has a bold and extremely distinctive design which is unlike any other in that the face features a 6 o’clock front-dial position of its regulating organ. It only took 18 months for the R&D team at Raymond Weil to develop the design and the regulating organ.<\/p>\n

It is encased with a 42.5mm stainless steel case and the balance & spring assembly is the focus of attention within the watch. It has a diamond polished balance wheel and the skeleton bridges ensure transparent visibility. \u00a0It is powered by a self-winding movement called the freelancer “Calibre RW1212” which moves at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations an hour.<\/p>\n
