This week, Garmin<\/a> has announced its latest release. Garmin launch the Quatix 7 in the wake of the success of the recently released Tactix 7. The brand is known for its high-tech and very specialist timepieces, and this new model is no exception. The Quatix watches are designed especially for boating, to be worn by those who love spending their days on the water. As always, Garmin has equipped this new timepiece with a huge range of technologies to make it the perfect companion on land and at sea. The New Watches<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Garmin Quatix 7 is available in three versions. The first, and the most affordable, is the Marine (010-02540-61)<\/a>. This watch is capable of going 18 days without charge, ensuring that the wearer is never left unawares. The second is the Sapphire (010-02582-61)<\/a>. This watch is the only one of the three with an AMOLED display, meaning that the display can be seen well even in bright sunlight. The third version of the Quatix is the Solar (010-02541-61)<\/a>. This model features a Power Sapphire lens that uses light to extend the battery life of the watch. This means that the Solar model can last up to 37 days in smartwatch mode. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Functions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This watch is perfectly designed to be worn whilst out on the water. It is equipped with a huge number of features that make it the perfect companion. The watch is compatible with Garmin Chartplotters. This means that it can offer autopilot control alongside data streaming and fusion-link entertainment system control. This allows the wearer to control almost every function of the boat from their wrist. Additionally, integrated tide data and alarms for situational awareness keep the wearer well-informed of their surroundings, preventing accidents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Much like Garmin’s other recent releases, the Quatix 7 can be controlled using both traditional button controls and a touchscreen. This makes the watch easier to use than ever. The watch also supports optional BlueChart g3 coastal charts and LakeV\u00fc g3 inland maps. This ensures the watch is equally useful on land and on the water. Additionally, the watch has built-in activity profiles that include both land and water-based activities, allowing the wearer to explore a huge range of sports. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smartwatch Features<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Garmin equips each of its watches with health and fitness tracking features. ABC sensors and GPS allow the watch to track the wearer’s movement and activity in minute detail. This means that the wearer can analyse their health and fitness statistics. The watch is also capable of displaying smart notifications, allowing the wearer to stay in touch with their contacts whilst on the water.
