Bering’s Time To Care campaign continues the brand’s charity work and efforts to preserve the Arctic. Under the slogan Time To Care – Let’s make a difference, the brand hopes to bring even more awareness to the plight of the Arctic and its ever vanishing ice. In collaboration with Polar Bear International, Bering has released two new timepieces. Profits from these watches will go towards the foundation and its preservation efforts. Presently the Danish watchmaker has raised approximately $300 000, or \u00a3222 385, in donations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who are Polar Bears International?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Polar Bears International<\/a> are a charity organisation that is dedicated to ensuring the long-term survival of polar bears. By educating the general population and supporting research into their habitat and life, PBI is hoping to highlight the impact of global warming and the importance of the preservation of polar bears and other arctic wildlife. The Polar Bears International Maternal Den project focuses mainly on mother bears and their cubs. The Polar Bears International website offers a bear tracking feature where you can track the movement of the mothers and their cubs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first of the two new timepieces is this sophisticated model. The case and the Milanese mesh bracelet are both made of stainless steel and plated in arctic blue. The case of the watch has a polished finish. It measures 32 mm in diameter and presents an impressively thin silhouette at just 5 mm. The dial is in a complimentary Arctic Blue. Alongside its Arctic blue colour, the dial stands out due to the gold ring featured on its outside edge. The dial design is minimalist. A single diamond is set into the 12 o’clock position. Contrasting the dial are gold-coloured hour and minute hands. A quartz movement powers the watch. The model is also splash-resistant and shouldn’t come in contact with water. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second watch in the line is distinctly more unique. Similarly to the watch above the model has an arctic blue-plated mesh bracelet and case. The dial features a wave pattern in different shades of blue. The case of this watch also measures 32 mm in diameter and 5 mm in depth. The Bering logo is placed at the 12 o’clock position. It stands out against the light dial in black. The hands of the watch match the logo in the same dark grey colour. A flat sapphire crystal protects the dial. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
