What is the Fed Cup 2017?\"Fed<\/h1>\n

The Fed Cup<\/a> is widely known in the women’s tennis world as the premier international team competition, The Fed cup was launched in 1963 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the International Tennis Federation also known as the ITF. The International Tennis Federation<\/a> is the governing body of world tennis, beach tennis and wheelchair tennis. The ITF was founded in 1913 as the International Lawn Tennis Federation by twelve national associations, and as last years cup in 2016, is affiliated with six regional associations and 211 national tennis associations.<\/p>\n

The Fed Cup competition was known as the Federation Cup until 1995. The Fed Cup is the world’s largest annual women’s international team sports competition, in terms of the number of nations that compete. The men’s equivalent of the Fed Cup is the Davis Cup. Australia, Czech Republic and the United States are the only countries that have held both the Fed Cup and Davis Cup at the same time.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0start of the Fed Cup was definitely a suprise in the\u00a0BNP Paribas Americas Zone Group I action as Brazil and Argentina both lost, this came as a shock to many however fans are keeping their heads high and immersing themselves in this diverse event.<\/p>\n

RADO AS OFFICIAL TIMEKEEPER OF FED CUP SEMI-FINAL IN SWITZERLAND 2016<\/a>\"RADO<\/a><\/h2>\n

Rado has long been a supporter of many aspects of tennis around the world. In 2016 Rado released that it was expanding its dedication to the sport, the Swiss watchmaker was the Official Timekeeper of the Fed Cup semi-final between Switzerland and the Czech Republic in 2016. It was the first time in 18 years that a semi-final has been held in Switzerland and Rado couldn’t miss an opportunity like this to support its country..<\/p>\n

Rado released the\u00a0RADO HYPERCHROME. A HyperChrome Automatic Chronograph Match Point which was limited edition and very popular indeed. This timepiece inspired by their relationship to tennis was an automatic with \u00a0plasma high-tech ceramic and Stainless steel making up the face and bracelet with a\u00a0transparent sapphire case back. The watch glass\u00a0was\u00a0Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and it was water resistant to 100M.<\/p>\n

Last years Fed cup saw a lot of watches from the Arrival dinner all the way through to the final celebrations for Czech Republic’s win.<\/p>\n

Eleni Daniilidou is an amazing tennis player from Greece who played in the Fed Cup. Unfortunately she lost her game against French player\u00a0Margot Yerolymos yesterday. She can be seen in the picture above wearing a Casio sportswatch which we reckon is a international variation model of the Casio Black Resin Strap watch<\/a>. This is the perfect watch for any tennis player or avid fan. It is water-resistant, has an LED backlight, countdown timer, daily alarm, silent vibration alarm, dual time zone display (perfect for touring for competitions) and a stopwatch.<\/p>\n

Czech Republic Team<\/h2>\n

The Czech Republic team sported a number of watches throughout the Fed Cup however we are unsure as to some of the models so we have listed the ones we know. In the image above there is a standout Apple watch<\/a> which is one of the first smartwatches we’ve seen at the Fed Cup on the court. The Apple watch allows you to\u00a0Measure your workouts, Track and share your activity, Monitor your health and stay connected to the people and information you care about most.<\/p>\n

What would we recommend?<\/h2>\n

Whilst the Fed Cup has seen many watches on its courts one we have never seen and would definitely recommend for this sport is the\u00a0Fitbit Activity Tracker<\/a>.<\/p>\n
