To commemorate the newly found partnership between Oris<\/a> and the Tactical Leadership Programme<\/a>, or TLP, the brand has released the Oris TLP limited edition. The programme is an elite pilot training school based in Albacete, Spain and was founded in 1978. The international military organization is formed by NATO member countries in order to offer advanced training to NATO pilots. The courses the training provides focuse on improving efficacy during tactical operations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new Oris timepiece uses the brand’s ProPilot watch as its base model. The limited edition builds upon the already impressive design and features of the ProPilot in order to enhance the watch’s effectiveness, reliability and performance in the field. The watch is limited to only 750 pieces. In addition to the incredible design, the watch comes with a travel pouch in the same olive green as the strap. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Oris TLP watch is made of grey PVD plated stainless steel. Its case measures 44 mm in diameter. The case back features a special engraving alongside the limited edition number of the watch. Highlighting the silhouette of the Big Crown Pro Pilot base model is the bezel with its rope-like design. An oversized screw-in security crown is placed on the right-hand side of the watch. Encasing the military green dial is a sapphire crystal. The crystal is domed on both sides and has an anti-reflective coating to ensure maximum readability. Adding to the legibility of the dial are the tapered luminescent hands and the luminescent Arabic hour-markers. Placed at the 3 o’clock position are a date and a day aperture. Accenting the military aesthetic of the piece is an olive green Ventile strap. Ventile is a high-quality fabric developed in England during World War 2. The material is said to be waterproof and was used in pilots’ immersion suits. The colour of the strap and the dial is inspired by the colour of the overalls of TLP pilots. The strap closes with a grey PVD plated folding clasp. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The watch has an automatic movement. Its power-reserve lasts up to 38 hours. Apart from the day and date functions, features on the watch include hours, minutes and seconds, a date and day corrector, a fine timing device and a stop-second function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
