Citizen<\/a> have launched a new limited-edition model as part of the Satellite Wave collection. The new Citizen Eco-Drive Satellite Wave GPS Limited Edition model is based on the original Promaster Sky Chronograph from 1989. This model is a precisely engineered pilot style watch that would make the perfect companion for the collector who is always on the move. Limited to only 1989 pieces, this limited-edition model is in high demand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Basics<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This new watch from Citizen\nfeatures a black dial with a great number of complications. The dial exhibits a\nblack, white and orange colour scheme, making it easier for the wearer to\ndistinguish each individual feature. The style of the watch is in keeping with\nthe 1989 Promaster Sky Chronograph model which gives a hint of vintage style to\nthe ultra-modern appearance of the watch. In order to reinforce the rarity of\nthis watch, each case back is engraved with the individual production number,\nmaking each Citizen Eco-Drive Satellite Wave GPS Limited Edition model entirely\nunique. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Citizen are known for only using the highest quality materials, and this new watch is no exception. The case is made of durable and scratch-resistant diamond-like carbon coated super titanium. This material ensures that the case is very lightweight, whilst remaining durable and resilient. The case measures 47mm in diameter, making the dial large enough to be read easily. A matching DLC coated super titanium bracelet secures the watch. The busy dial is protected by scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The anti-reflective coating ensures that the dial is legible even in the brightest of lights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This watch features many details that have been precisely built for pilots and fans of aviation, including the fixed bezel that is engraved with a ground-air visual signal code. This is feature is reminiscent of the original 1989 model. Although the dial seems busy, it is multi-layered to ensure each complication is easily distinguishable and easy to read. This creates an attractive effect of depth within the watch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even with the layers of complications,\nCitizen have not overlooked a single detail in this new model. A date aperture can\nbe found between 4 and 5 o\u2019clock, neatly disguised amongst other complications.\nAlso, the hands and main indices are luminous. The glow is a blue colour,\nensuring that the basic features of the dial are easily readable, even in the\ndark. The Complications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This complicated watch is powered by a calibre F990 movement. This is one of Citizen\u2019s iconic Eco-Drive<\/a> movements, meaning that the watch does not need to be worn or have a battery changed in order to keep it running. The watch is powered by light, whether it be natural or artificial, so the wearer can always rely on it to keep perfect time. The dial features a power indicator, so if the watch were to be running low on power, the wearer would be notified. This would allow the wearer to ensure the watch gets some light to charge before it stops entirely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not just the calibre\nthat will keep the wearer in perfect time. This model also has the world\u2019s\nfastest timekeeping signal reception speed from GPS satellites, with a speed as\nquick as only 3 seconds. This aids with the world timer complication which can\nkeep track of the time in 27 cities. It can easily be adjusted by rotating the\ncrown positioned at 8\u2019clock to select a city. The watch then uses GPS satellites\nto set the watch to precisely the correct time. The new Citizen Eco-Drive\nSatellite Wave GPS Limited Edition also features a perpetual calendar, an\nalarm, and a daylight-saving indicator to ensure for optimal timekeeping.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
