Oris<\/a> has expanded its Aquis portfolio with the inclusion of a new model to the range. The new Oris Cherry Aquis date is an unusual addition to the range, yet its stunning design makes it no less of a diver’s watch than any other Aquis model. Oris is well known for its desire to blend everyday elegant style and high-functionality. The brand walks the fine line between fashion and practicality beautifully. As part of the Aquis range, this new exciting model will look at home under the water as well as out around town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The model is made of stainless steel. The case of the watch measures 41.5 mm in diameter. The familiar Oris silhouette makes the timepiece versatile and comfortable to wear. A stainless steel bracelet secures the watch. It features 3 tapered links. This design highlights the case and ensures the dial stands out. The bracelet closes with a three-fold clasp with a diver’s extension. The extension makes the timepiece fit more comfortably over a wetsuit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dial of the watch is in a stunning cherry red with a sunray finish. The deep red colour is contrasted by luminescent indices and tapered baton hands. The only other complication on the dial is the date display at the 6 o’clock position. Encircling the minimalist dial is a ridged bezel made of stainless steel. Unlike most other Aquis models, the minute markings are embossed into the bezel. Their polished finish makes them stand out clearly against the matte finish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Encasing the dial is a domed sapphire crystal. The sapphire increases the watch’s durability and is highly scratch-resistant. As the watch is the essential diver’s instrument, a protected screw-down crown is also featured in order to ensure the impressive 30 bars, or 300 meters, water-resistance. Functions on the model include a date corrector, a fine timing device and stop-seconds, alongside hours, minutes and seconds central hands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The movement of the watch is automatic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
